If this vehicle belongs to you... seriously... what were you thinking?? If it belongs to someone you know, you should certainly tell them what a dumbass they are. This "driver" even beats the dumbasses who can't figure out that the big, yellow words "NO PARKING" mean that you shouldn't park right in front of the pharmacy walk-up (note: NOT drive-up...
BURNER'S TRUCK STOLEN IN OREGON ... CAN THE COMMUNITY HELP RECOVER IT?

Hey there's a fellow Burner in distress ... perhaps our community up
in the northwest can lend a hand? It would be nice to see this
rectified. She writes:

"Fellow Burners,

If you are in Oregon (around the Eugene/Springfield area), please be
on the lookout for a STOLEN PICKUP TRUCK--the primary vehicle for the
Pepper Conduit theme camp, containing all of our gear, drinking water,
and shade structures. It's a dark blue 1985 Nissan King Cab, with a
tall, unusually shaped white canopy and a spare tire on the left rear
wheel. Canopy extends pickup bed almost 2 feet in the back, and the
canopy has its own taillights.

Was stolen from Junction City, Oregon, sometime between 8 p.m. and 11
p.m. on Thursday, August 21st, 2008. When last seen, it had
Washington plates, a Burning Man symbol on the lower right rear canopy
door, a small sticker of an octopus on left rear corner of canopy, and
racks on top of the canopy.

The truck contains nothing of monetary value, but it does contain some
items that are of extreme sentimental value to owners. Namely, our
entire theme camp.

The theft has been reported, but it has destroyed our vacation plans.
IF YOU SEE THIS TRUCK, please call local police!"

So I was outside and saw a blue pickup truck traveling down 13th with a precariously balanced rolled up rug in the back of the bed, and thought to myself: that sucker's gonna fall out. Sure enough, the pickup turned onto Washington and it fell out. I waited for the owners to show up and reclaim it. They did not.

After several minutes an elderly gent in a red BMW stopped and got out of his car. I thought to myself: What a nice guy, moving that rug out of traffic so it doesn't cause an accident. What happened next you ask? Why, the elderly gentleman rolled up the rug and stuffed into his car and drove off with it. That's right! He totally nicked that rug.

So if you know this person, remind him that even if it's in the middle of the road someone still probably owns it and might be coming back for it. If you're the guy in the pickup truck, look for a bright red BMW with a guy with white hair and goatee. IF however, big if there, you were actually with the guy in the pickup, good work. I'm such a cynic though I seriously doubt that last option.

For the person that was looking for Scrabble players, I just found out that the Campbell Center hosts Scrabble every Tuesday. It's through the Eugene Parks and Rec, so it may be a bunch of elders, but you can find out about it here. You can make friends with elders, right? http://www.eugene-or.gov/portal/server.pt/gateway/PTARGS_0_228_261903_0_0_18/Winter%20Courier%202008.pdf
There's a drop-in fee of a quarter.

Having just had my second tremendous lunch at The 'Wich House (840 Willamette St.) over the weekend, I feel compelled to spread the word to everyone I know, since I think this place is being overlooked. The food is absolutely amazing - complex without being pretentious, great value, and especially perfect for the soon-to-come cooler weather (as many of the sandwiches feature what I consider autumn-type foods). They are like full dinners turned into sandwiches. They have lots of meat options and a few veggie options, all wonderful. They bake their own bread and focaccia, cure their own meats, everything. You can really tell the care and passion that goes into this food. I heartily recommend that everyone go give them a try, as I really want them to stay in business and feed me for years to come! :)

Quick!

Where's the cheapest place to store stuff for a few months in Eugene?
Someone Stole My Blue and Grey Trek Mountain Bike Tonight at 9:30 at the Hilyard Center!!!

The bike is a blue and grey trek mountain bike, with black handle bars, rims, and black plastic fenders, the back one is broken. There was a seriously faded blue saddle bag on the back fender.
Some bald fat *sshole in a black T-shirt stole my bike from the Hilyard community center tonight. I saw the Mother F*cker ride off into the night, probably wanted to sell it to buy Jenny Craig or kiddie porn. He looked like he might be suffering from social or slight mental retardation. If you see this F-Tard please do not let your children or pets near him (he probably will molest either), use shiny objects to distract him and then club him in his tiny penis. Most likely he lives in his mom's basement and attends live action role playing events on weekends. So if your creepy cousin, or that guy who lives next door and wont make eye contact with adults fits this description and suddenly shows up with MY BIKE, please either call the non-emergency police (682-5111) or e-mail me sqrlnutz at hotmail dot com, so I can come over and curb stomp the fool.
PS! Tomorrow's my birthday! Happy mother fucking birthday to me!

Hey Folks,

I need some inside information.
A friend of mine is considering applying as a full-time server at Sushi Domo.
My question: Has anyone worked at Sushi Domo, or has anyone heard anything at all about their working environment/conditions? Average sales and tips per shift? "Tipping out" policies? Any work-related information would be very helpful.

(I am NOT looking for opinions about their food or the atmosphere of the restaurant. We have eaten there. We know the sushi is good. We know the decor sucks. Thanks.)

Appreciate the help!
