SYMPOSIUM:

MACEDONIA AND THE WESTERN BALKANS

Call for papers

The Centre for European Studies at the University of Limerick will host a one-day symposium on "Macedonia and th Western Balkans" on Saturday 29 March 2008. Paper proposals (max. 300 words) should be sent by email to edward.moxon-browne@ul.ie

no later than 14 February 2008. Papers should focus on EU policies and influence in the Western Balkans (with some reference to Macedonia) but can deal with any aspect(s) thereof: political, economic, security, legal, social, cultural, media, public opinion etc. A panel will assess paper proposals and successful applicants will be informed by 20 February 2008. Paper-givers can claim up to 300 euro (600euro for non-EU paper-givers) towards travel costs, and accommodation will be provided free for one (or two) night(s).This reimbursement is conditional on papers (5000-6000 words) being received 48 hours in advance of the Symposium.
