| About: | Receptionist: Just a minute. Can you really cook? Claude: Well ... yes. I mean, I've cooked TV dinners. Dias: How DARE you ask that question!! No, I can't.
No Sense of Taste? No problem!

Welcome to the EternalSphere Food Network (eSfn), featuring 4D dishes for 4D appetites. And you thought videogames were only good for saving the world.
The eSfn is a community that collects, shares and tries out real-life recipes (both existing and original) for food featured in the Star Ocean RPG series. Now you can realize these delicious 4D dishes in 3D Item Creation! We think that Food God Yarma would be proud.
Please read the following before posting.
| | COMMUNITY RULES |
- You must be a fan of both the Star Ocean series and food. (Not too hard, is it?)
- There will be no bashing of other people's ideas, opinions, creations or cooking techniques. (Highlighting potential health concerns, on the other hand, is encouraged.)
- There will be no gratuitous swearing, even in the event of a particularly spectacular Item Creation failure.
- All posts must be related to the REAL-LIFE COOKING, CREATION AND DISCUSSION of dishes that appear in the Star Ocean series, and/or to eSfn community activities.
- This includes: introducing yourself to the community ^^, any questions or suggestions related to the eSfn itself (e.g. archive system, features, contests, reference links)
- This also includes: posting about cooking adventures, brainstorming the invention/variations of a dish, sharing of tips/recipes/stories/things you saw on TV/pictures, whining about failures, screaming for help, etc.
- This further includes: discussion of game dishes (e.g. what's your favourite? Analyzing descriptions/explanations of the dishes from the in-game menu), cooking fanfics and fanart xD
- This DOES NOT include: posting about the mechanics of in-game item creation or item usage/game strategies, asking for gameplay help (Please use
eternalsphere for that). But feel free to crack game-related jokes :D
| | GENERAL POSTS AND RECIPE POSTS | General posts are anything that can be posted on eSfn. They have no set format, no limit, and no tags because they do not need to be archived.
Recipe posts are posts intended to be tagged/archived as an online "eSfn cookbook" of sorts. Anyone can make a recipe post, provided that:
- they HAVE actually executed (and preferably tasted!) the recipe themselves.
- the exact recipe has NOT already been posted and tagged/archived.
Each recipe post should contain ONE RECIPE ONLY. If you have not tried the recipe, you are still welcome to post it as a general post.
Recipe posts must follow this format:
Subject line [RECIPE] Name of dish according to the game (real name of dish, if different)
Dish: Name of dish according to the game (real name of dish, if different) Source/Inspiration: Title and author of cookbook, or website link, where the recipe was found or modified from Warnings: Any allergy warnings, alcoholic content, etc.
<lj-cut text="Say whatever you like here!">
Ingredients: The ingredients. Instructions: Post the recipe here! Comments: Any notes or tips from your own experience - how long it takes, possible substitutions, etc. Optional, but encouraged because it is very helpful.

| | MODERATION | The following is a guideline for moderators when archiving recipe posts.
Include the following tags (whenever applicable):
- game (e.g. star ocean, star ocean 2, star ocean 3)
- ingredient according to the game (e.g. seafood, grain, meat)
- name of dish according to game (e.g. steak, chicken skewers)
- type of dish (e.g. appetizer, salad, soup, main, dessert, beverage - can put more than one)
