    GAH! Doesn't ANYONE READ THE INFO PAGE FOR THE COMMUNITY??
     OK, that's an overreaction, clearly many of you DO. Or you wouldn't be here.

    It just gets very annoying when I find myself rejecting 6 out of 9 membership requests because they have no or only partial birthdates in the DOB field in their user info.

    Whatever happened to functional literacy? If you're interested in joining the community, you should be interested enough to read the requirements for joining. It's not THAT hard.

    Please excuse me, I am just momentarily overwhelmed by the urge to rant. We now return you to your previously scheduled programming.

    hello, I'm Sheila and I'm new to this community. I've always taken an intrest in tastefully erotic photography and one day i bought a camera and became my own model. It's amazing the things you can do with a simple photo timer.  I'm still quite an amature but i hope to progress in my work.  I suppose i joined this community to maybe find a photographer and do an actual shoot seeing as that all the pictures i have, i took myself. I try to keep my pictures tasteful. I feel that erotica should be done with class, or it turns into distasteful porn... which is fine if that's what you're going for.

    Getting a lot of folks trying to join the community lately without reading the rules for joining. You *need* to have your Date of Birth posted in your livejournal user info in the standard space supplied for it. This is necessary to protect the community. LJ sysadmins will check for age compliance on our membership and the info needs to be where they will look for it. They're not going to play hide-and-seek, and neither am I. If the DOB isn't where I expect to find it, or if it's incomplete, the request for membership will be denied without prejudice.

    So check it, please?

    Losing a Great Location

    Edit: Breaking News! I just got a call back from King County Parks - the whole Preston Mill area is, indeed, public land, and, with the exception of the locked areas, is open for public use. I got the name, title and phone number of the property agent at KCPD, and printed out all the property records. The agent not only told me it was cool to photograph there, but offered to have someone unlock the unsafe areas if I wanted access some time (of course, I didn't mention nude models, so I won't be taking him up on that).

    I'm thrilled!

    2006 SEAF Juried Photos
     Tonight is the 2006 Seattle Erotic Arts Festival artists' reception and the show begins on Friday. As such, I present to you the two images that were accepted into this year's show by the jury and will be on display in the gallery. Watch for the second print, as it's a 24x36 framed print, which is the largest print I've ever made.

    Both will have prints available in the SEAF store, along with six other images. There are only ten of each print available, but prints that do not sell-out will be offered, first-come-first-served after the show is over (on Monday).

    Seattle-area models (or those who might be traveling to Seattle): I'm opening my 2006 shooting schedule after the show is over. I still have room for 5 more frames of my "Nudes in the Window" series, and this year I'll be doing a series exploring Mesh (fishnets, mesh tops, bodysuits, wraps and other creative uses for mesh), in addition to my usual brand of unashamedly-mainstream glamour. Don't be afraid to get in touch, 2006 is going to be a lot of fun!

    As a lot of you probably know, the original Blue Blood magazine in print was all about real life couples in interactive photo sets. And love and being cool not being mutually exclusive concepts. Halcyon and Tassy are such wonderful examples of this and were so awesome to collaborate with, that we just had to have two sets of them this week on BlueBlood.com.

    How old are you? What's your BIRTHDAY?
     Just a reminder...perhaps pointless to post it here, but I'll do what I can to ensure this is an unlocked post...

    If you do not have a birthdate posted in your livejournal user info, your request for membership in the community WILL be rejected automatically. The same goes for birthdates that are obviously fictional or inaccurate-- (i.e., '1920' or '2005')

    It's nothing personal, it's for the safety and protection of the community.

    Seem to be a lot of people who aren't reading the requirements for joining... so I'm trying to refresh the point a bit.
