DEADLINES EXTENDED FOR EROTIC WEREWOLF and EROTIC FOLKLORE Ebooks
please pass the word to interested parties!

LIKE AN ANIMAL
As powerful wailing howls echo in the night, they are transformed into creatures of animal passion. They stalk, they hunt, they mate. They live inside us all.

Circlet Press is still searching for erotic tales of werewolves. We did an anthology with this theme back in 1995 called "The Beast Within" making now an excellent time for a twenty first century update. We'd love to see fresh and unique stories that explore the animal side of lust and the attraction of dark lunar magic. Stories can even explore the rich world within a werewolf pack dynamic.

As always, we at Circlet are looking to include both worlds of fantasy and magic as well as futuristic science fiction settings. Whether you see lycanthropy as a sexually transmitted disease or an intriguing fetish, celebrate sex and desire through this fantastical lens by our new extended deadline of November 21st.

LIKE A MYTH:
We've received some intriguing stories for the "LIKE A MYTH" book, but we need more! We're extending the deadline to November 21st.

Give us an erotic tale with its basis in non-western folklore or myth. Faraway places and fantasy are the rule, which means avoiding settings anchored in the Western World (specifically, the United States post colonization and its many clones).

There are many other cultures out there to explore as a basis for fantasy, each with its own rich environment and colorful folklore. It creates the potential for some very engaging erotica. Fully transport the reader to the new world you create as they follow along on an erotic adventure.

Remember that the myth/folklore element is not simply a hook for steamy erotica, but an equally important part of the story and should be given more than a passing thought. India, Korea, Malaysia, Africa, Persia, Tibet, South America, the Pacific Islands, Eskimo, Native American cultures pre-colonization, these are all areas and cultures rife with gods and tales of magic.

To that effect, we are extending the deadline for Like a Myth to November 21, 2008. The submissions already received will be kept under consideration until this time.

TO SUBMIT:
Circlet Press is open to all sexual orientations and styles, so long as depictions are sex-positive. No horror, no murder, dismemberment, rape, necrophilia, or other purposefully gross or horrific topics. We are an EROTICA publisher.

Please feel free to pass these calls for submissions on to writers you know.

For full details on how to submit and format your manuscript, please visit our general guidelines page, here: http://www.circlet.com/?page_id=5

Lace and Blade
August 1, 2008

Lace and Blade  is accepting submissions for its second anthology of "elegant, sensual, romantic fantasy, emphasizing sharp verbal repartee as much as sharp pointed weapons, rapier rather than broadsword."

Editor Deborah J. Ross is interested in "characters - both men and women - with vibrant personalities, complex, dashing, and very sexy. I'm particularly interested in stories that have magic and action, but in which conflict is resolved not by violence but by insight, creativity, and compassion. I'd love to see "win-win" endings, sense-of-wonder, plot twists and turnabout.

Alternate sexuality is welcome; eroticism a definite plus; exotic, non-Western European settings also encouraged. Please read the first volume to see what I'm looking for." The deadline for submissions is August 1, 2008. There are no minimum or maximum lengths, though Ross says longer stories must be "extraordinary." Ross will pay a 2 cents a word advance against royalties. The book will be released Valentine's Day, 2009.
