I've joined this community probably last week or so. I have not looked back in the archives to see if this/these questions have been asked. (Sorry if they have, and I guess feel free MODS to delete) I was just wondering/curious though about the following:

1. Does Eric smoke in real life?
2. How tall is he really? I've read he's anywhere from 6'2" to 6'6"???
3. How much does he weigh? I've just bought "Lucky You" and "Munich" and in "Lucky You" he says he's 185.
4. How is it that he headlined a Steven Spielberg movie "Munich" and didn't get an Oscar Nomination? Who/what was the competition then? And do you think he'll be in any films in the future that will give him that Oscar nod/win??
Last question....or rather this is all I can think of at the moment!
5. Was he one of the actors mentioned to become the next 007? B/c I can't remember, I think he would make a GRRRRRREAT Bond....HOLY SNAAAP!!!!

Okay, well that's all my brain cna deal with right now...I'm ashamed to admit that when I first saw "Black Hawk Down" I was watching it for another actor(s) buuuuut I did think "DAMN! Hoot is f*ckin' HAWT!!!! and the trailers for "Munich" I had no idea he was even in it!!! :( Sad I know, and now its been like 3 years since it came out in theaters and I've only just bought it, well I'll probably watch it tonight. Also, also...does anybody know if "Romulus, My Father" is a good movie? B/c I saw that today too for like $20?

I've got some Christian Bale, Eric Bana, George Clooney, Matt Damon, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, James Franco, Jake Gyllenhaal, James McAvoy, and Joaquin Phoenix in there. In case you didn't catch Eric on the Tonight Show last night, he's sporting a new 'do for Nero. I'd screencap if I could, but I'm still in the dark ages with a VCR. However, you can check out a pic here. (It was a lot different on the show than the pictures are showing.)

Eric sightings

Just in case no one else has heard (or seen), Eric is this month's cover boy on GQ magazine. (See it here.) I'm not at all impressed with the "interviewer"; in fact, it's one of my least favorite articles on Eric. However, the pictures are great.

Here are a few TV sightings for this week:

"Sunday Morning" - (CBS) It's a moot point now, but he had a one-sentence interview on "Sunday Morning" today. (It was on costume design for the Oscars.)

"Lyons & Bailes Reel Talk" - (syndicated) Eric has a fairly good-sized interview (less than 5 minutes, but still good). He discusses "fat old Henry" (his words), Hulk, and finally a bit about Star Trek. Still no word on exactly what Nero is though.

"The Sneak Preview Show" - This airs tomorrow (Monday) and has something on "Romulus, My Father." I've still got digital cable so I'm not sure exactly what the channel is but it's listed as HDNet.

"The Tonight Show" - (NBC) tomorrow (Monday)

"The Late Late Show" (that's Craig Ferguson) - (NBC) Thursday morning (Wednesday night) — I can't wait for this one. The interview with Craig Ferguson for "Lucky You" was one of my absolute favorites.

"Tavis Smiley" - (PBS) Friday at 11 p.m. EST (here at least)

"On the Set" - (various Starz channels) "Other Boleyn Girl" edition off and on all week

Anyone know anything about any of the morning shows? I always miss him on the morning shows.

"Romulus, My Father" took home 4 awards at the AFIs this week, including Best Film and Best Actor for Eric.

Hey everyone!
I have some mystery here, i'm dying to uncover! I've seen Munich several hundred times (seriously) but neither in the theater, nor on my dvd copy this scene included, but this shot keeps haunting me on sites and in trailer caps. What is it all about and am I the only looser who have seen some *cut* version?

OK, so I was very innocently taking a break and perusing msnbc.com at work today, when I noticed a headline saying they may have cast Capt. Kirk in the new Star Trek movie. Now, I'm really a geek, and I checked out the article. Imagine my shock and delight when I read that our own Eric has been cast as the baddie in the new flick! The only thing anyone knows so far is that the character's name is Nero. No clue on whether he's going to be human or will have to suffer prosthetics.

I've also googled it and the news is everywhere, but here's one article in particular.
