Eggs! We have snake eggs! At least 12 of them, so far, and she is still laying. Unlike what we were told in the books, kalie stopped eating last month, and has gone though this whole pregnancy living off her reserves. She still looks nice and healthy though, and her eggs look viable. Pretty little snake babies are in our future. Current Mood: jubilant |

And More Dr's... Bug had a Dr's appointment today for the very spooky headaches he's been having. He claimed that leaning forward or some types of physical activity cause it to feel like his right eye is being pushed out. A visit to Dr Castalvi was very reassuring. He knew right away that I would be worried about something like an embolism or a tumor, and he explained to me why that was not a real likely thing here. Instead, he thinks it's a sinus infection. Whew! he did also recommend that Bug do two miles a day, so I have a Dr ordered walking buddy...whee! He does two laps for each one of mine, right now, but I did push the pace and got my lap done much more quickly than usual.
Then Cookie and Sharra came over, so we watched "Keeping Mum," which is totally charming. After they left, K and I watched "The Gift," which had way too much woman abuse in it. I kept having to leave the room. Squick! |

Ouch! I'm not sure which hurt more, the dental work (two temp crowns put on after one bad tempt crown was removed,) or the bill, now that I've used up most of my dental coverage. Ouch ouch! We will be out of pocket to the tune of about $1400 on this work, and I still have two more to do. I rushed to Anime night as soon as we were done, and it was lovely fun. I really like the other two main Anime moms. They are both smart, witty, sarcastic irreverent, and totally great moms. Next week it will be in my house...let the cleaning begin! But now, all the numzit has worn off and I really hurt, lots. Oh, Kali, Skye's lovely female snake, has poked her head out and is being more active. I'm pretty sure she's gravid! Woot! Current Mood: uncomfortable |

Energy I'm working on the whole energy thing. Since my mother's death, I've been slapped down a bit, but it's time to pull out of the funk. The strange thign is that I've been horridly, insanely busy, and often manic as hell, yet I also feel like I'm moving though thick mud.
So, more exercise, right? That's the cure, I know. I've gotten back to my walking, and it's improved my attitude already. Even better, I've gotten back into the garden.
Saturday K had a surprise outing, and it turned out that he took us to Miakka State Park, where we hiked a bit and climbed the huge tower to walk the tree top canopy walk. I was sore the next day, but it dovetailed with that whole more exercise thing. It was a beautiful way to spend the day, and especially nice since the kids and Da Beau got to go too. K is working 2 full time jobs right now, so days like this are precious. After the park we went to the Florida native garden store and I showed remarcable restraint! I got out for under $15, which is a minor miracle. I'm really commited to not spending right now, though.
This week at work is that fast slide into finals. In fact, we are already on the downhill slide of it, thankfully.
Today is my big deal dentist appointment. I thought the second job had a second line of insurance that I could run the dental off of, because I've about used up my coverage for the plan I'm on, but it turned out that we didn't opt for insurance from that job. So today is going to hurt!
And speaking of dental, K's mother needs to have the few remaining teeth she has pulled (She lost them due to the Chemo and radiation she had, 8 years ago) and replacements made. The one dentist she's been to says $10,000 to pull the 4 teeth and put in two pegs...dentures after that. Brother-in-love wants to split it and we are saying "Cannot do. Get another opinion. Classic dentures cost less and can last for 20 years." It's getting ugly. But we totally Can. Not. Do. |
