eowyn_icons! This is a community dedicated to creating original and beautiful icons of the Lady Éowyn of Rohan, Daughter of Kings, Shieldmaiden, and (eventually) Lady of Ithilien. This is also a wonderful place for sharing icons of the actress who portrays her on screen, Miranda Otto. There are only a few simple rules for this community, but because this is a community that shares the art of generous LiveJournal members, I ask that you follow them closely or risk being asked to leave. Joining the community is the same as agreeing to these rules, so please make sure that you take care of them!
[1] This is a community for icons of Éowyn and Miranda Otto. Any other icons should not be posted in this community, even in posts containing Éowyn or Miranda icons. If you're looking for a place to post other LotR icons, check out
lotricons! :)[2] Please don't post here with information and/or news about Éowyn/Miranda. If you are looking for a place to talk about the character, try
eowynsrealm. [3] The only kinds of posts allowed in this community are of three types: (1) Icons - if you post icons, you can say almost anything else you like in the post. ^_^ (2) Questions specifically related to Éowyn/Miranda icon-making. That would mean questions that cannot be answered at the communities or sites listed in the FAQ section. Requests are allowed, but we can't guarantee that they will be fulfilled. (3) Users looking for artist names to credit them for their work.
[4] Please "credit" all the icons that you take here, regardless of whether or not the artist asks for credit in the specific post. It is just the nice thing to do, as it shows respect for the time that the artist put into making the icon and uploading it for you to enjoy!

3. How do I credit in keywords? When you upload your icon, go to "edit keywords". In the line where you would put a caption or tag for the icon, please somehow add the LJ name of the person who made the icon. It's very simple, really!
