Hello fellow Entourage fans. Your friendly neighborhood mod here, chiming in to remind you that there is only one week left until sign ups close.

So if you want to join up, you've still got seven days. Turn out so far is fantastic and any new people who want to give it a stab, please do!

For the last year or so I've been mumbling quietly to myself "Why isn't there an Entourage ficathon?" It's been a burning question since I fell headlong into love with the show and the fandom and the answer is - there just isn't one. I've decided to fix that.

So -after a poll, 48 straight hours trolling the MULTITUDE of ficathons on the web, assurances from some lovely friends that no, I really can't please everyone no matter how very much I want to, and some format inspired by/borrowed from a very fabulous and lovely BTVS ficathon run by ruuger, here it is!



This ficathon is open to all Entourage writers. While I personally am a slashaholic, this ficathon is open to all types of Entourage fic: no matter who or how you ship- even if you don't ship at all. The goal here is to drum up more fics in a fandom that is far too small. Just so long as you're writing about the characters in Doug Ellin's brilliant series.

Now for the rules and formating (borrowed from/inspired by the Buffy is the Hero ficathon).

RULES

* All the stories must be about Entourage characters. Het, gen, femmeslash, and slash and any pairing is welcome.

* The fic should be at least 1000 words long. No maximum word limit, the story can be a novel-length epic as long as you finish at least a substantial part of it by the deadline.

* No bashing of any characters or pairings. This is supposed to be fun!

* All fics should be beta'ed. In other words you should have someone read your story through before you post it to make sure there aren't any problems with grammar or spelling. If you absolutely cannot find anyone to beta your story, contact me and I'll try to find someone.

* Please email me (Ellidyay@gmail.com) if you realize that you can't finish your assignment in time. The sooner, the better because that way I can assign a back-up writer if needed.

- Assignments sent: before March 17th
- Final deadline: June 23th-30th

~~I've tried hard to find a happy medium between the people who wanted a fic exchange versus a prompt based ficathon and I think this is the best format that allows me to get close to that and still maintain some semblance of sanity. I hope no one is disappointed, but if you are, chin up, if this ficathon's a success we'll try another format next go around!~~

Pairings/characters you'd like to write: The characters you're most comfortable writing. PLEASE include pairings if you have any because I have no doubt people will be asking for them.

Characters/pairings you'd rather not write: Very important. If you can't wrap your brain around Johnny Drama, let me know. If writing Mrs. Ari freaks you out, please - tell me. All these things will go miles in getting you what you want to write.

Highest rating you're willing to write: should be somewhere between G and NC-17/X/homygodporn!

What 'genres' are you willing to write?: Meaning het/femslash/gen/slash.

What you absolutely can't write: This is the place to tell me if you if you have no idea what happened in season 4, or if the idea of writing a fic about the boys on the set of one of Vince's movies scares the crap out of you, if you hate Billy Walsh or loathe Josh Weinstein. I have no desire to stick anyone with something they can't or would hate to write.

Can you pinch hit?: If someone has to back out/leave/is unable to finish, can you step up to the plate at the last minute(with an extension, naturally) and help out?

YOUR REQUEST:

Characters: Who you want to see in the fic. Remember to mention if you would prefer a shippy or a gen fic (as in, "I want Eric, Vince, and Turtle" in a gen capacity as opposed to "I want Eric/Vince, with Turtle hanging around as a friend").

Something you'd like to see: This could be either something vague - a certain kink, angst, fluff, a color, an object, and etc. Or it could be a more specific request. Something like "Turtle is stranded alone in Orange County" or "Eric and Mrs. Ari are trapped in an elevator at MGA." Don't be too vague so that the writer has something to work on, but don't be too specific either - nothing can kill a writer's inspiration by like a prompt that's TOO specific.

What you don't like to see: Again a great place to mention if you don't want to see spoilers for some seasons. Or if there's a character, kink, cliche, or plotline that makes your head hurt and you don't want to see it.

Preferred rating: Do you want sex in your fic? Where would you like your story to fall in the G-NC-17 range?
