Alright, here is what the article says! ^_^

EIKOKU KOI MONOGATARI EMMA
Story
Let's turn back the clock to 19th century England at the height of the Victorian era. Young William Jounse, the eldest son of a wealthy merchant family, visits the home of his childhood governess Kelly Stownar, where he encounters Emma, an attractive young lady who works as a maid in the Stownar household. Despite the differences in their socail status, Emma and William find themselves increasingly drawn to one another...

Green box -- Victorian England
With a little help from Rico Murakami, author of Emma Victorian Guide [published by ENTERBRAIN], this anime production does a fantasic job re-creating all the details of Victorian culture. From the rugs and leather upholstry right down to the patterns on the silver and china, every inch of every frame exudes Victorian elegance and charm. Even the language of Victorian England is preserved in phrases like "governess" and "season" [a term that referred to the annual season of socail activities for the gentry]. Aficionados of Victorian customs and decor will find much to love in Emma.

A maid's life
There certainly is an abundance of maids in anime, but how many productions take the time to show you what a maid's life is really like? Real maids live in world that's one step back from the lives of their masters, and they certainly don't spend all their time flirting coquettishly with the young males in the household. Eikoku Koi Monogatari Emma provides viewers with an unusally deep and realistic portrayal of the life of a maid.
"I think maids in anime are treated more like cosplayers, characters appreciated only for their appearence," comments show direstor Tsuneo Kobayashi. "Being set in Victorian England, Emma is all about showing people what the life of a maid at the time was really like, and I plan to be very thorough and exacting in teh portrayal."
Set against the framework of rigid social class distinctions that existed in England during the Victorian era, the story begins as a wealthy young man named William falls in love with Emma, the lowly maid.
"The story structure is very orthodox, like a love story from an old movie," continues Kobayashi. "one problem, however, is that the original manga takes all these little episodes from Emma's life and strings them together without directly tying them into the events before and after. If we were to stick to that mode of storytelling in the anime, we'd end up without enough dialogue to keep things moving forward. That's why we needed to read between the lines a bit and insert various things into the script in order to portray Emma and William's relationship as carefully as we wanted to."
The careful portrayal extends well beyond the script, forming a common theme for the entire production. "TV aniem of today has stopped playing attention tot eh little details of everyday activities, like for example, lifting your apron as you alk down the stairs. But I think Emma has to show all that. The protrayal is very subtle and understated, and it's something I do expect to receive criticism for, but, I'm committed to doing a faithful rendition of the story, so please take that into account as you watch it.
Offering a gratifing careful peek into the life of a maid in Victorian England, Emma is a welcome change of pace from the "sexy maid" sendups we're accustomed to seeing, and it's a return to the meticulous storytelling of a classic film. Keep an eye out for Emma this spring!

Well, the DVDs are already coming out in Japan, but unfortunately not in the US yet. As far as I know I don't think it has been licensed in the US. But hopefully soon! *crosses fingers for luck!*
