I got my package!

It was sitting on my porch this morning! Thank you so much to funkyturtle! I know it was sent about 2 months ago, and the reason for the delay, as well as pictures, is under the snippet...

The parcel. The big 'Q' on it stands for 'quarantine'.

Heh. This had me intrigued as to the contents of the parcel.

TEA! I <3 tea - there was some orange pekoe, orange and chocolate (OMG), some herbal teas and hot chocolate.

A gorgeous journal, and a lovely letter from funkyturtle.

Some pretty rocks, a stone turtle, heart erasers, a maple leaf bracelet and some glass thing (thing is not the technical term for it, but it's pretty and shiny and feels like glass!).

A copy of the Sleeping Dragon Cookbook. The introduction states that "this cookbook is designed for geeks, gamers and anyone who does not necessarily have great amounts of culinary kung-fu". Perfect for me, then!

A Werebear!

And a letter from the Australian government, informing me that three packets of tea have been confiscated from my parcel because "in the Authorised Quarantine Officer's opinion, the items are likely to introduce exotic pests or diseases into Australia".
Um, WHU?! It's TEA! I really think they should concentrate on inspecting parcels for illegal drugs, or dodgy things, not TEA!
That is one of the frustrating things about living here - quarantine.

BUT despite that (it was only three packets of tea that were confiscated, everything else was a-okay), the package really brightened my Monday! My journalling had lapsed a little, of late, and this has given me a boost of enthusiasm.

So, I'm wondering, has anyone gotten their packages? Or who hasn't yet?
If so, post pictures! I want to see.
I haven't gotten mine yet, the person I sent one to should have gotten theirs and I hope they liked it.
I'm hoping I'll get mine tomorrow.

I am ready to get things moving on this. Please email me your information (name, address, interests, if you are willing to participate with someone from overseas, any other pertinent information).
I think I will plan on trying to do four PIFs, but of course people don't have to participate in more than three if they don't want to. Same rules apply with regards to not being allowed to participate if you don't mail your stuff out.

Get me your info by the end of the week if you want to participate. You can use my livejournal email account on my user page.

How about you have until May 25th to send your stuff?

I've created this poll. Also, I need some sort of deadline for when I can cut off people expressing interest for the upcoming PIF. That's going to depend some on when people want it to occur.

Can someone please explain to me why I'm not getting the messages from this group? It's on my friends list and on my friends filter. I was just talking with someone and realized that I hadn't seen a message from here in months. When I go to the group, I see tons of them. Any ideas? Have I been blacklisted or otherwise removed from the group? I participated in one swap where I got an email from the admin on who I was to swap with. I completed my swap and waited for the next email. It never came. I later asked why and was told I had missed a poll. Since then I've gotten nothing and I can no longer even see the messages from this community on my friend's list. What is going on?

I picked up my lovely, lovely package from memrystaindphto this morning!

I apologise in advance... I had to stick paper on my wall because everything would have come out orange without it!

I got...
A journal, a pack of pencil crayons, a pack of markers, a pack of cardstock pieces, a GIANT eraser, and three "souffle" pens with stickers (not pictured)
Some stencils and some alphabet foam stickers
Some clear alphabet stickers and some vellum alphabet stickers, and some gold outline stickers which came with the souffle pens. (...I'd already used one before I took this photo. Whoops) The foam stickers are there again, too.
...and here's the giant rubber again. I DO have small hands, but it's still big.

There are other photos of everything up there too, but those were the best. I'm terrible with a camera.

So anglersrest and I were partners and both of us sent packages awhile ago and neither of us got them. We've since sent new packages and I got mine today...she should be getting hers next week.

I haven't checked this community for awhile so apologies for being late.

My partner Nuria and I have been in contact. I sent my package to her out and it was at her post office in early/mid June so I assume she picked it up already. I hope she enjoyed what I sent. The package she sent off (I assume) has not reached me as of yet since there is a postal strike in Spain.

I think I will abstain from the last 2 exchanges. I am happy for the PIF members who have had good experiences with both exchanges but at this point I will just observe the last 2 swaps.

I put off posting in the hope that I'd be able to take photos of my wonderful PIF from lovelife. Unfortunately, the 30th has arrived and I still can't use my camera. I'm excited. I've been having troubles with the postal service so the fact that it even made it to my house is awesome.

My partner rebecca_star was super understanding about my woes and got the package insured. Anyway, I am totally loving what I received.

I'm addicted to pens so this makes me happy!

On the top of the photo is an adorable journal. Spiral bound which are my favorite because I glue so much crap in my journals, bound books never stay closed. On top of the journal is candy! Milk chocolate with caramel. I can't wait to try it.
Then I got some cute pink button type things.

Stickers!, ribbons and more accessories.

But my favorite part of the package was all the scraps she sent me. My favorite thing to do with my journals is finding random pieces of paper to glue in and incorporate in the journal. She sent me a whole bunch of random clippings and scrap paper and craft paper. I love it. I can't wait to use it all.

I got my package yesterday morning! I don't have Sarah's LJ name, but I want to share all these with you anyway :)

This was all the stuff. I don't know if I said that pink was my favourite colour? But I'm so in love with all of this! The glue will come in handy - I'm nearly at the end of a similar packet I bought last year! The scrapbooking letters and rub ons will get used very quickly - they're gorgeous colours. The Kitty paper and the tissue paper (which says 'Loves me/Loves me not' on it) will be stuck in somewhere, or maybe put on my wall - they're both lovely. I'm looking forward to painting with the squuezy brush things - I've never painted in a journal before! I love labels, so they're really cool too. And last, but by NO MEANS least, the journal.

I am so in love with this journal it's not funny :) It has a heart embossed on it, and it has lined pages on one side and blank pages on the left - just perfect. I really just can't wait to make this journal mine - so thank you so much Sarah for gifting it to me :)

My parcel for Sarah will be in the post tomorrow - I had transport issues and wasn't able to buy things for her until last week. But I hope she gets it quickly!

I got my package from snowflakie06a couple weeks ago but I was running a hospitality suite at a sf/fantasy convention and then I had a wisdom tooth issue so I haven't been able to post this until now.

I got: a fabric bookmark, a paper bookmark, a very pretty purple drawstring bag, a string of fake pearls, some pins, some mini erasers, a shell bracelet that I'm convinced is lucky because I've had good luck while wearing it or carrying it about with me, a compilation cd made by snowflakie06 the new NIN cd, a pen to ink drawings (I'm learning to draw), a letter, and a super cute drawing of a turtle with a human head that looks wise and playful all at the same time.

Brief notice

My PIF partner (I don't have her livejournal name) and I have been in communication, but apparently overseas doesn't work for either of us since we've not received our PIFs. We're both creating new PIFs to send to one another, but obviously they won't get to either one of us until sometime in June. I don't want either of us kicked out for not posting or not sending, because we both have with no luck. :/

I could've sworn I posted earlier. But with planning and having a wedding and going on my honeymoon I must've forgotten. Oh well, I did get my PIF from mazisexton

I got a few stamps including an Alice in Wonderland stamp and ink pads. Some scrapbook supplies, a bunch of gel pens and some embossing powder. Awesome stuff!!!!

Ugh, I really want to share photographs but everything is in the USA and I am in Iceland, so it makes it difficult. :D

I got my package from darkfyre_muse on Friday. I asked for color, since I write mainly in my journal with a black pen and I got stickers galore, pens, colored pencils, and markers. I haven't used anything yet, but will probably be opening up the stickers and markers soon.
