I've fallen off the wagon, so to speak. I'm trying to get back into writing in my journal daily, but it's not working well. Not to sound emo, but the more crazy things that go on in my life, the less I want to write, when that's exactly what I should be doing!
Short of just writing daily again (which I'm doing, though not expansively or creatively), what do you do to jump start yourself out of a funk? Any websites you like with writing prompts?

I like to reread The New Diary by Tristine Rainer. That helps.

Agreed. Also Writing for Your Life by Deena Metzger, which is not about journaling, but has a lot of useful tips. I also sometimes go back to my older journals, pick a day and a memory, and flesh it out; that keeps me from beating myself up about not catching up with the immediate gap.
