Webcomic fanarts
Where do webcomic fanarts go? Fan Quarter or SF&F?

I'm not talking about huge, well-known webcomics such as Inverloch, Applegeeks, etc. I mean small, obscure comics. Intuitively, I'd think they fit in the same category as "friend's character" (I AM friends with some of the authors after all XD) but I'm not sure.

I got a bunch of those in FanQuarter that all got accepted. One of them even got a moderators choice. ;)

I can tell you as a mod that they should go in your FanQ gallery. They only go in your SF/F gallery if you created the original webcomic yourself. Even if it's little known, put art that was inspired by other visual entertainment media in your FanQ gallery. =)

Oh, okay. So the "friend's character = SF&F" doesn't apply anymore? Or are webcomics an exception to that rule?

Any visual entertainment media inspired art goes in FanQ. So any comics, TV shows, computer games, movie inspired fan art etc etc goes in FanQ.

It is safe to post a friend's character in your SF&F gallery if they do not appear in any of the above media.
