I have a story which I would love to get feedback on....only because writing is no fun if no-one reads it....I love creating and would love to know if people like what I am doing (for no other reason that to satisfy my ego haha)...but critiques are always welcome...none of us are precious darlings...we all are students and we are all learning...if it can be fun as well, hey, then there's nothing like it. I have two chapters of a novel I am working on submitted to my gallery. I am seeking feedback, suggestions, criticisms, and any other sort of comment on it you wish to provide. It is a fantasy/sci-fi hybrid that mixes the two elements very well, so I have been told my numerous people over the years. There's a new issue out now, and it's a great one! Our theme is snow, and we've got a tutorial on doing burnishing on black paper, making bookmarks, making re-usable bags for gift-giving, part 2 of Japanese swords (with video!), musings on giving art as gifts, information about 'blue,' and a lot of art, poetry and fiction! AT LAST!!!
I'VE FINALLY FINISHED THE REVISED VERSION OF CHAPTER ONE OF MY FIRST NOVEL. I JOINED ELFWOOD ABOUT FOUR MONTHS AGO AND POSTED MY FIRST VERSION OF CHAPTER ONE - THE TALES OF FAGELIO ON ELFWOOD.
AFTER SOME VERY TALENTED PEOPLE COMMENTED ON MY WORK AND HELPED ME I REALISED IT WAS RUBBISH!! =P
SOOOOO...
I TOOK IT AWAY AND RE WORKED IT AND NOW... WELL IT'S NOT PERFECT BUT WHAT IS???
ANYWAY, I APPRECIATE HOW IT HELPS AND WHAT YOU CAN LEARN FROM OTHER PEOPLE SO ANY COMMENT IS WELCOME IN MY LIBRARY.
THE CHAPTER HAS BEEN SPLIT UP INTO 4 PARTS. NOT THAT IT REALLY WARRENTS IT. I JUST DID IT MORE FOR THE EASE OF READING.

Hey guys! Fantastic Portfolios comes out of beta testing at the end of this week!
This is a pretty ambitious portfolio-type gallery - we're looking to display the very best and brightest of the fantasy illustration world in a clean, ad-free, portfolio-styled site that also has comments, tours, favorites and other community features for registered members.
It's juried, but the angle we're taking on our jury is not just saying 'this is good art, this is bad art,' but also letting you know WHY, and HOW to improve. So, all submissions are graded in categories, so you can immediately see your strengths and weaknesses, and apply specific advice to weak points. Everything goes through not one, but THREE critics, so you aren't getting the view of just an individual. We aren't about exclusion, we're about improvement. (Even stuff that passes gets picky critiques and tough grading, 'cause there's always room to be better!)
We've got forums for public critiques and lots of fun features for artists and art-lovers. Please check it out!
