    Intro Thing
    Heya!

I'm Lyon, and I just turned 18, but I've grown up with Elfquest, and I do so love it, so I figured "Why not join the Elfquest Community, seeing as I adore these comics above like, all others. And manga. And anime. And cartoons..."

    So here I am.

    Whoop whoop.

    More Elfquest Costuming Pics

I found some more pics of the Elfquest costuming group from Dragoncon. These have characters not involved in the first two pics and some great individual shots of the different characters that are involved in the first group of pics I shared.

     Enjoy

    Hello! I come bearing invitations!
My name is Kris. My friend Anna and I have set up a new holt here: Westering Holt. We're set in the year 13,398, around the same timeframe as "Kings Of The Broken Wheel," yet we're far from where Cutter & Co. have their holt.

Come check out our board! If you like what you see, email me at kdotto at yahoo dot com. Thanks!

    Sincerely,

    Kris

    Elfquest costuming group

I regularly attend Dragoncon, but I missed the con this year. Watching the Dragoncon LJ group for pics, I saw a post that linked to two photos of a group in Elfquest costumes and thought I would delurk and share the pics with ya'll.

    EQ Icons!
I was absolutely thrilled to see the ElfQuest Comics posted online, and of course had to read them again. And snag images to be turned into icons.

    Personal Fanon?
Prompted by this entry on <a hrefTV Tropes, a very fun wiki that all should read, I was wondering if anyone keeps their own rough "personal canon" for EQ?* Any reasonable explanations you've made up to explain apparent gaps? Or official material you disregard for one reason or the other? Do you have a special fanon set up for your fanfic 'verse? Personally, I've chalked up any inconsistencies in pre-quest stories to that faulty Wolfrider memory and the vagaries of oral tradition. It makes things like the Wolfrider! arc so much easier to handle. A few other quirks, too, but I'd like to hear how other people have tweaked their worlds before I run off my mouth any more:). *For those who don't know, a big simplification: canon is the official storyline. Fanon is the fan-accepted story, with supplementary material pulled in and sometimes with unpopular material left out.

Does anyone else here dream about crack fics?
Ever since  I started reading these, I'd get thinking, what if so and so Recognized so and so...blahblahblah. A few of my early mind plots: Ekuar/Savah, Leetah/Voll, Voll/Savah, Rayek/Ember...then, as I was intorduced to the magical world of crack fic, the more interesting ones popped in: Sunstream/Kahvi, Two-Edge/pretty much anyone :) and the same goes for Winnowill. Oh, especially the twisted thought of Strongbow/Winnowill. To sate my twisted mind, has anyone seen any fav Elfquest crackfics? I love finding ones that are wildly impossible, but believable. I've been dying for a Strongbow or Moonshade dealing with the significant other's Recognition to anyone else fic. Well? Am I truly cracked up? Maybe the madness of Tyldak/Kahvi gave me bad ideas...

    costuming
So, please delete this if it's not wanted, but i was wondering if anyone else here goes to conventions--more specifically mid-Atlantic anime/comic types--and would have any interest in an elfquest cosplay/costumed group? I have been throwing the idea of doing Joyleaf for years and am finally starting on it.
if anyone would be interested just let me know. :)

    thanks!!

    Warner Bros. Elfquest film
There's a new forum created for the movie over at the Scrolls forum.

And this topic specifically is about the newest news, and holds information verified by Richard... should you be wondering about how real this is.

    Voice Actors?
Since it's (hopefully) official, if it's animated who should play who's voices. I think Crispin Freeman would make a great Cutter (or maybe Skywise?). Also, Mary Elizabeth Mcglym would make a great Winnowill. Oh, and Patrick Steward as Voll. Opinions?

    Ayoooah!
I just saw this on the SciFi RSS feed I have:

    http://www.scifi.com/scifiwire/index.php?category=3&id=57350

Sounds like we're getting closer to an actual ElfQuest movie!! I actually had to rub my eyes to see if I was dreaming.

    ETA:

Do you think (wish/hope/pray) that it will be animated or live-action?

I think I would prefer animation just because I can imagine how devastating it would be if they picked the wrong actors for the parts. But on the other hand, there's no word on how involved Wendy and Richard will be in the process and it it's animated, Wendy needs to be drawing or doing whatever it is they do.

    Hey y'all.
Sorry to bug everyone with such a trivial question, but does anyone know if one has to be registered at elfquest.com to submit a question to "Ask Elfmom"?

    [New Blood--literally]
     Fresh meat!

I'm only 18 years old, and it's rather embarrassing to admit since so many people here have been collecting ElfQuest for years, but I've only started reading them in the past month. It started when I couldn't sleep and decided to look up comics that were online, and now it's to the point where I want to save up everything I get and buy everything ElfQuest. It's like crack... in comic format.

There's a bit of a problem though. On the official website the Pinis have been kind enough to provide some of the comics online, which I think is truly kind of them. There's just one problem...

I don't even know where to start!

I started with the original quest, and then Siege and Blue Mountain and Kings of the Broken Wheel. I've skipped Essential ElfQuest since it seemed to spoil me for a few other series, and I'm currently on issue 11 of Hidden Years. But the question I want to ask is.. what on earth comes next after I finish the Hidden Years series? I attempted to figure it out through the timeline, but I'm not exactly the brightest star in the sky.

It's a big request, but could someone help me out and tell me which order they were published, or which order I should be reading them in? Thanks in advance~

    Offline holts?
Just wondering - I know there are many many roleplaying holts out there, but what about offline, zine style holts? You know, the type where interaction is via stories and art rather than RP?

I currently know of two: River Twine (check us out, we have adoptables!), and Tail Water (which I believe is new). I think there's also the holt of Grand Illusions, and is Ocean's Edge zine based? I've found I work much better in such holts than in the RP based ones, but they sometimes seem a dead breed... I don't know why!

    Where to start?
Hey everybody, I need some help.
I started collecting EQ stuff 13 or 14 years ago, very slowly at that time. I'm in Sweden, and since the albums are really hard to find over here, I had to order them from the states. Took me a year or so to save up my little allowance every time :) It's easier now that I'm all grown up, and familiar with eBay and Amazon, but now I have another problem. There's just so much material out there, I don't know where to start!
What I have now, is book 1-5 in the Reader's collection, plus some free-standing stuff (The big elfquest gatherum, a gift of her own, and bedtime stories.) And also, The Discovery, which I started to read, but had to stop as I didn't understand very much of it. I understand it comes later in the series, but where does it fit in? And which albums should I get to complete the saga?
I know myself as a collector, and I'll probably want EVERYTHING eventually, but right now I have to focus on the story and its conclusion.
I hope all this makes at least some sense, and I'd be forever grateful to anyone who can help!

    Tribe Names?
I've been an Elfquest fan for years and one thing my friends and I discuss is how each tribe are different aspects of the same.So we once sat down and decided what parts of us would fit into each tribe, what our name would be and why. Let me get you started, my Wolfrider name would be Shadowleaf because I can sneak up on people really well. My Sun Folk name would Myra, simple and feminine. My Go-Backs name would be Shorn, short and cutting. My WaveDancers name would be Tideswift because I'm a strong and fast swimmer and my Gliders name would Lolana, a little dark and mysterious. Anyone else?

Not sure if any of you were on the TwoMoons Mush back a few years ago, but myself, and another member Savith have come together to make a RPG guild on GaiaOnline. If you'd like to join us, you'll need to make an account and visit the guild for rules. Click on the pic below if interested or comment here if you have questions.
