| About: | Welcome to eight_love, a community devoted to all things relating to the Eighth Doctor and his alter-ego, Paul McGann. If you have a love of the Eighth Doctor, no matter if it's on television, books, or the Big Finish audios, this is the place for you. If you love Paul McGann in another role...any role...no matter how small, this is the place for you. Honestly, it's just all about the squee. :D Regarding membership: Membership in the Eight_Love community is moderated. You must apply and be approved. We're not cliquish or exclusive, but we do want to be sure that we're on-topic and troll-free. In most cases, we approve membership pretty quickly. Sometimes it takes a while, for various reasons. If you feel that your membership application hasn't been approved quickly enough, please read on. 1. We won't approve you if we can't figure out why you're interested when we look at your journal or your profile. Eight_love is not a generic Doctor Who community. We certainly have great affection for the Eighth Doctor, but we're the Paul McGann Appreciation Society, so we need to see that you have some interest in the actor who portrayed Eight, not just in Doctor Who. If for some reason you're not willing or able to make your interest public, please email us. 2. If your journal's been inactive, or if it's brand-new and you don't seem to have any friends or interests, we won't approve you. We want people who can and will participate. We aren't going to keep score or anything, but it makes for a more active and enjoyable community. If you're brand new to LJ, or have been away for a while, give yourself some time to make some friends and get a handle on the place, and then try us again. 3. Most importantly, re-applying because we haven't approved you immediately is just going to annoy us. wheresmycow, aerynstales, and alto2 are very busy people, and we assure you, if you clicked the "join" button, LJ notified us of your application. We'll get to you as soon as we can, but it's possible that you haven't made it easy for us to figure out why we should approve you. Multiple applications just put you further down our list. (Please remember that applications stay active for one month, so you will still be on our queue even if it's been a week or so.) If you feel that there is a legitimate extenuating circumstance, please email us at eightlove1 @ gmail.com. We'll be happy to discuss it with you. Thanks for your interest and cooperation.
