Um, yeah, the blood is very, very lazy, but I was getting rather sick of the image by then anyway...
This is coloured in a slightly different style than my normal one. I've mostly been experimenting in OC recently, and after using that, PS just doesn't compare in soft-shading. So, I decided I wanted to cell-shade something in Photoshop, but after that Hibari image I cellshaded, I didn't want to do something hard and with a lot of black.
...why my brain though SAO would be easier, I don't know. And [info]atroquinine please, please, please, if I ever mention I'm colouring an SAO page on IM, make me stop

WOW, this is absolutely amazing! My favourite parts are definately the background colours in the top panel, and the shading of the white robes. Amazing how much detail and depth you put into that! It really gives it a sense of motion and realism. Also, the orange/browns you used for Munsu in the bottom panel is really great. Gives it the gritty feeling it needs. Great colour coordination in the whole image too. ...However, the green on Munsu's pants on the top panel is a somewhat random colour, not that it detracts from the colouring AT ALL.

Definately one of my favourite colourings...ever! Keep up this awesome work! I know SAO is insane, but this is a really good piece. :D

yeah, I see what you mean about the green-ish colour of the pants, I'll try to keep that in mind in the future.

The detailed background is awesome. Your color choice is beautiful. I love how you also gave the characters a little highlight so they don't blend too much with the background.

But on the bottom panel, is the blood (I think it's blood) supposed to be black? Or is it really dirt? ^^;

S-Soooo pretty! ♥♥♥ I really love the blend of colours you used, the lightning, shading--it's such a detailed and messy-looking page, yet you dared to attempt it and that alone is admirable enough. ♥__♥

You could probably take a step further by incorporating better lighting on the characters. I mean, the background is a dark, stormy sky, right? Yet the lighting on the characters lean more towards bright, normal room conditions...I'm not saying that it looks weird, I think the page is really pretty. It's just another step you can take if you wanted to improve on the page, I think.

yeah, I see what you mean about the characters being unnaturally light. I was trying to find a balance between making the background as dark as I thought a storm should be, but also making the characters stand out a bit. Guess I didn't quite find it ^^;

I'm still trying to get the hang of OC tools (I never used it for anything besides line art), but I love the way it blends much, much more.

I think it actually has less than the last KHR page I coloured this way (especially since that one featured Hibari), but it still had too much black (especially the blood) orz;

Stunning! I remember coloring the page directly after that scene once and dsjkferls SAO is SO freaking hard to color you are my hero.

I like the characters being light. It gives an interesting effect.
