Swimmer Group Order?
I was wondering, how much interest would there be in a US-Based Swimmer Group Order? This would be for things off the website, so we could order everything at once and it could be shipped from japan in the same box it arrives to our shopping service in (so no ONLY IF YOU GO TO THE STORE AND FIND THIS SPECIFIC ITEM requests, I'd like to keep this easy for whatever proxy service we use and I don't want to risk messing things up on our first order). Pretty much anything on the site would be fair game except maybe very LARGE or strangely shaped items. Shipping from japan would be figured based on how much each person bought, so if you only want something small it won't be that bad. I'd like to get enough interest for a reasonably sized box of things though, to make it worth our while.
So pretty much, who would be interested? Also, if you are in japan, would you like to help us order? I have one person I could ask, but I don't want to overwhelm him. Based on responses I'll decide whether to go forward or not.
also if you are interested, what are you interested in? just a general idea, like 1 or 2 small items, or purses, or clothes etc etc. Just to get an idea of what people want.
http://www.swimmer.co.jp/ for your reference :)
edit: So I'm thinking that what I will do is have a smaller order for the first one, and if it goes well possibly do larger ones from there. I don't want to order too many things for too many people though to cut down on possible errors.
The order will have a participant limit of 12 people. The only exception is people who want all their items shipped to one place, so basically there is a limit of 12 packages I will ship to you domestically. If you live in the same area as other people and want to save domestic shipping, let me know and your group will only count as 'one' participant. You will have to tell me who is ordering what though so I can divide up the shipping costs from japan fairly (assuming you all pay separate. If you'd prefer that I just tell you you total + share of shipping you can divide it up yourself, but you'll be responsible for giving me one lump sum as payment).
The plus side of having a person limit is that your personal item limit will be pretty open. You could order quite a number of smaller/flat items (anything that doesn't take a lot of shipping space) PLUS a max of two large/rigid purses. If you are interested in clothes, depending on how big they are, they will count as your purse quota. For example, say you want two yukatas, that will count as your purses. If you want a smaller item like a bikini or swimsuit, that would count as one purse. if you ONLY want clothes (no smaller items) then you have a bit more freedom. I'll be looking at this on a case by case basis. Items that come in boxes are kind of in between. Pretty much I'll be trying to make this as fair as possible to the first 15 participants while keeping shipping from japan to america down.
Payments will be broken into 3 most likely. You will need to pay for your items (and a tiny bit of Japanese domestic shipping and taxes) before we place the order. Anything we can't get you will be refunded for.
Once the items arrive to our japanese proxy, and we get a shipping estimate, I'll ask for your part of the JP -> US shipping. I simply can't KNOW the total cost until they get it, so I hope people won't mind. That cost will be based on how much you ordered.
Once I receive the items I'll estimate shipping from you to me, which depending on size will be as little as $3 (for small and flat items) to $10-15 for things that go in boxes. I'd like to be able to stick to flat rate priority boxes if possible.
There will probably be about a week between each step of payment, possibly more depending on what shipping method we get from japan.
I will not me 'reserving' any spots in this post, at all. When I'm ready to make the order I will make a new post, and from there it'll be first come first served. It'll be at least a week until I make such a post, so you can relax until then.
