A follow-up post to my post about Curvy's yesterday. Someone asked how to find other Lolita stores and I thought it would be good to have a database of Rakuten Lolita stores, perhaps even to be added to the memories?

Description:
I list this tentatively because it has a lot of Marie and other animation merchandise that I know a lot of people would be interested in but trying to browse this site for specific Lolita items is quite an effort. What I recommend doing is typing 'gothic' into the search box under the red 'cinema collection' banner near the top of the page.

Navigating this webstore is like pulling teeth while being forced to look through a kaleidoscope. I find the Lolita clothes in this store I recommend typing 'gothic' into the search box under their golden '2007 MVP' award.

This store has a small Lolita section which can be found about half-way down the front page on the right. A lot of their Lolita clothes are quite poor made and tacky but you decide for yourself if it's worth it.

Rakuten offers overseas shipping for the some of stores that sell through them. Read through the information to order anything from the stores listed above. For the other stores you will have to use a shopping service.

Also: Yukata is summer kimono, a very specific type of kimono that is only worn during the summer or to bed that is extremely informal. What I see featured on the Princess Angel page is furisode (long sleeved kimono). If you're looking for a blanket term, kimono is it.

re: kitsuke, check out the forums on this site. Ichiroya carries some long-sleeved kimono (though maybe not women's hakama), and apparently ebay isn't bad for it either.

Oh, I know about IG, thanks though! And I've bought so much stuff through Ichiroya I have a 10% discount ^_^;; Great service and items. But brand new embroidered graduation hakama are still are rare find (even on e-bay). I bought a womens hakama off of Ichiroya a while ago, but, they were too big! I was so disappointed. I'm apparently too short and skinny for the size M, lol.

*tears of blood* I wish, I just don't have the spare cash currently. I might hit you up later, though! Thanks for the offer. I think it's because most people rent them rather than buy them, so, they don't come up on the foreign market as much (which generally consists of used kimono).

Usually if I want to do that I take the store I'm specifically looking at, type the link into google and go 'translate this page' after I click 'search.' I'm sure there are other ways of doing it though.
