Lil Mama called out on Lolita
(also this is my first time posting to EGL so sorry if I'm doing it wrong x_x)
I know there was a post before about her at the Teen Choice awards, but browsing through MSN's "Celebrities Undressed!"
I just happened to come across Lil Mama wearing the Lolita blouse and headbow... (which for some reason wasn't very surprising)

"Juvenile Offender: There's something deeply unsettling about a grown woman decked out in a high-collared, weapons-grade frilly pink-and-white top, a precious style that should be worn only by sweetie-pie little girls twirling around singing "I Feel Pretty." When paired with ... more vacuum-sealed skinny jeans, platform heels, pouty lips and an in-your-face bra, which may or may not be of the training variety, it quickly turns creepy. But what pushes Lil Mama's childish duds from vixen-y Bo Peep to "Are you playing the bait on 'To Catch a Predator'?" is the matching honker of a bow wilting on her head, a topper that should be sported only by a rodent who answers to the name Minnie Mouse. "
I recall some people mentioned they sort of liked the look she attempted, and I suppose I give her props for trying but I really think the see-through blouse is a big no-no as the writer points out ('an in-your-face bra').
However, I do think that the response Kat Giantis (The writer, I believe) was pretty nasty, I hope it doesn't put any lolitas off though from dressing up in public! Of course I'm caught around the idea that if Lil Mama starts wearing lolita, loads of highly influential teenagers might as well...
What do you all think about Lil Mama's Lolita appearances, is this a good or bad thing for the Lolita world?
Is she coming off as more of an ita and might give lolita a bad name?
