Mai stopping her service

Mai just told me shes stopping her shopping service on the 20th of Feb. :[
Shes lost all her private time, including sleep. I feel so bad for her!
This really sucks though, what service do you guys plan to use now? I might wait until yahoo!japan allows Americans to bid through eBay.. Does anyone have a link to that article? (the egl entry about it was deleted). All the good deals are usually on mbok though.. And I don't like using Celga when they charge $5 for something thats like $2

edit: I spoke to Mai again and shes not going to totally stop her service. She'll continue to do ~some~ auctions and etc. I think the best thing would be to email her about it, or keep checking her ebay page

Is she really? Oh no! She must have been so overworked, poor thing. I feel a little bad myself; I think I stressed her out because of some problems with my payment. Even though it's all straightened out now, it must have caused her a lot of grief.

Maybe slowing it down a notch might be better for it? Just like ITS has a few slots each month for custom orders, maybe Mai should only take on a set number of orders each month.

As for what service I use, I think I'll move on to Celga. They seem reliable and professional.

Oh I definetly understand her! Most people who haven't done that sort of thing can be very demanding and it's such a responsibility. I can't understand that she did it in such a large scale! Poor thing. I wonder why she didn't limit her service to a few a month.

I remember hearing something about that, but it won't do me any good. Don't think it'll happen immediately though...

:( This makes me so sad. I've always loved using Mai because her service is so much more personal.

I can completely understand her stopping the service though considering the sheer volume of emails she gets a day. I don't know who I'll use now though D:

I second this!

this woman was godsend for those of us without a paypal. she actually allowed us to win bids before paying, something impossible with other shopping services...I mean, fuck, by the time the money order gets through the auction is probably over -_-''

Not to mention she could do all sorts of magic tricks like getting items that said they where sold out in stores. most shopping servises wont even bother with it if it says its sold out.

hmm it says "Now there is going to be a formal channel by which you can sell products from one market into another." I wonder if that means we can ONLY buy things that are on the channel? that would suck, I hope we'd be able to bid on anything :\

I'm sorry to hear that she no longer wants to continue, but I hope that's the right decision for her. n_n

I am slightly saddened, though, because I'm not aware of another shopping service that will check physical stores. (If anyone does know, please enlighten me. n_n)

That stinks, I didn't know that!

Poor dear is very frazzled though, lately. I'm glad she'll finally get some rest. :)

Look at it this way, ladies: Angelic Pretty will be shipping overseas soon and yahoo japan will be as well. Celga and Crescent can catch the rest. :)

Yeah, she said something along those lines to me, but I didn't know it was going to happen so soon! Ah well, at least Mai will now have time to finally relax and spend all that money she made. I'm really thankful she provided her service in the first place. ^^

Could someone tell me what exactly a shopping service is? Because I love shopping and might start one up if I understood what to do...

Shopping services help you buying things you cannot get by yourself. Like, many Japanese brands do not ship overseas and stuff like that. So there are services living in Japan (having Japanese contacts) who can order for you. You pay a commission fee (usually 15% of the item and shipping), the item price and shipping and they will get the stuff you want for you.

Oh no! And I was so happy with her service. I just got a package from her this week and she included a little bag charm in it. She had the best communication out of any shopping service, even though she was running it single-handedly.

Poor Mai. I wish her the best.

Celga is good for mbok. The fees end up being the same because Mai calculated hers differently.
