[Current Mood | snow!!!!]

The Barnardos charity shop on Nicholson Street is having a sale today and tomorrow to clear out stock - everything is £1, and if it's originally less than a pound then it's half-price.

I got a blanket. Which clearly I will need. Because: SNOW!!!!! Now THIS is winter! *grabs a carrot and runs out to build a snowman*

Bit concerned about taking the buses back into town around 3.15 this afternoon - is the snow going to cause huge issues or should I be OK? Checking the website but wondering if they'll be truthful about the situation...

Wanted: Simple bookcase made [Mar. 3rd, 2006|04:31 pm]

Is there anyone about who would make me a 2 mtr high bookcase with 4 shelves? Made out of MDF (or plywood) and screwed together? It's to use as a dollshouse so it needs to be able to be unscrewed so I can decorate it.

(Just to note: I haven't found a bookcase with the required dimensions. If anyone has seen a (h)200cm x (w)100 cm x (d)50cm bookcase made of mdf or plywood, with 4 shelves, then please tell me!)

I'd make it myself but I have no garage or workshop, or even any outdoor space. My dad has all my tools down in Yorkshire and he's too ill to make it for me :(

If no one is willing to make it, recommendations for a cheap and reliable carpenter or cabinet maker happily received.

I'm looking at spending about £60 to £70 maximum overall.

Many thanks!

Sorry if this is in the memories, but that's not working right now it seems.

Does anyone know of a good internet cafe OR wi-fi hotspot around South Clerk Street/Old Town/general Southside area that is open to 8 or 9 on a Sunday night? I need to access something that won't work through the Uni's proxy, and it's time-specific.

Thanks very much!
