AboutThis is a community for swapping recipes with people in Edinburgh. The recipes do not have to be Scottish, and indeed I'm not going to insist that people be living locally to join, but we have quite a foodie culture in this city and it would be nice to exploit that, maybe meet up occasionally for meals and suchlike.
The power is already going to my head! Some guidelines...
1. For the moment, this community is recipes only (because if we start discussing food issues, the bulk of my current lj account will have to move here)
2. Post the title of the recipe as your subject
3. Feel free to tell us about your recipe, but please cut the recipe itself
4. Please try to post proper recipes that don't include blatant readymade shortcuts - lasagne using sieved tomatoes is okay, lasagne using a jar of pasta sauce is not
5. If you are using someone else's recipe, please credit them
6. Tag entries to let us know what category the food falls into (regional, vegiie or meat, starter, soup, etc)
7. Recipes do not have to be realistically cookable, it's fine to post curiosities (as long as they don't take over the community)
