Any news on when the rpg might start up again? I remembered recently that you said Mid-April, but there's no news after all. Just wondering if you were thinking about when it might be possible to start up again.

I've been dreading this post, especially since there's been a rash of activity lately. Unfortunately, said activity did not extend to the mods, which leads me to my announcement.

Steph and I finally managed to catch up to each other this past week, and it doesn't look like her schedule is going to be freeing up anytime soon. Since modding EM is too much for one person to handle, and Steph plays three major characters, we're going to put Echoic Magick on hiatus until spring. I'd estimate mid-April before we could reactivate the RPG, but we can't make any promises that far in advance.

Both of us apologize profusely for the inconvenience, and we wish we both had the time to devote to running EM. If any of you would like to be notified when/if we restart the game, please let us know at echoicmagick@yahoo.com. I will be setting up an email notification list before we go completely dormant. You will all have first claim on your current characters if we do manage to restart, as well as first choice of any newly vacant characters. We will understand if anyone does NOT want to be on the mailing list, though, so don't worry about hurting our feelings, ^_^

In the meantime, if any of you would like to join another (more active) RPG, we have a short list of trio-era games that we can suggest. If any of you have game recommendations, especially for MWPP era games, please feel free to post them as a comment to this entry (We ask that you don't post game recs in separate posts, just so we can keep them all together in one place).

Quidditch update

A bit delayed, I know, but Steph and I have been having some trouble catching each other online lately. So, with help from my lovely assistant Angela (ie, Gideon and Regulus, ^_^), I have performed the most sacred, scientific of tasks and flipped a coin.

Congrats Ravenclaw, on beating Hufflepuff in the Quidditch match this week!

I apologize profusely for us being such shameful mods lately -- unfortunately both of our schedules have just gotten nightmarish at the exact same time. If anyone needs me for anything, feel free to email or IM me (even if I'm listed as away!), and I'll do my best to help! That includes plotting for Christmas, which is coming up fast for our lovely characters...

Well, Narcissa, being the social ~~hornet~~butterfly that she is, wants to have a Post-Halloween Ball Party. Not sure where at Hogwarts it's gonna be hosted, or when it'll be RP-ed yet, that depends on who'll be showing up. (It's not limited to Slytherin only.)

Hello hello, my internet connection is inexplicably back up for the first time in ages, and might fail again soon- but I'm switching providers so the problem will be circumvented très bientôt. Apologies for the relative lack of posts, mods. Don't kill me.

In other news, the 11 Series of Unfortunate Events is out! Yay! but I don't know when I'll be able to get to it...Possibly not for another couple of weeks. For those of you who don't know the series, or who think that they are children literature, let me say that literature they are and brilliant at that, so while we wait for JK Rowling to stop having babies left right center and publish her books you should definitely look into Lemony Snicket. It's amazing. Wee.

We just wanted to let you all know that Chelsea, one of your mods, will be leaving the RP. I'm sure you all will understand that she doesn't have time for it in her schedule anymore, but Stacey and I are still here for you and working on things, so don't worry! I just wanted to remind everyone to be careful about their comments making even subtle hints about the Marauders being animagi. The only people who should know at this point are Remus, James, Sirius, & Peter. Snape and Lily are the only other people who know about Lupin, but neither of the two know about Prongs, Padfoot, or Wormtail.

If you're interested in your character having suspicions, you'll have to contact the players for permission.

Electives: Please note at least three that your character would be interested in taking. They can take up to five. (Care of Magical Creatures, Astronomy, Divination, Arithmancy, Ancient Runes, Advanced Flying & Techniques, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Healing, and Magical Medicine)
Classes they would like to double up: With three electives they can double up two classes; with four electives they can double up one class; with five electives, no classes will be doubled up.

"Jeanne" should say it all. This is the second time we've had a mandatory evacuation. Central Florida has a big "Welcome" sign on it, or something. We're the nice little bump on the right side of the state that sticks out and says, "Hey, hurricanes! Over here!"

In other words, I most likely won't be around. Some people just got their power back from Frances last Sunday, & here we go again. We have a generator, so I may be able to pop in once in a while. If not, I'll see you guys as soon as I can get back!

Unfortunately we had to free our Fabian up due to inactivity, so everyone please delete borntrouble from your friend's lists. Hopefully everyone else will be able to keep up, Stacey is posting a round of ads, and we've been getting several applicantions emailed.

Let me stress that if you can't be around -- contact us. Whether it be by mail, or a simple comment in here (where a few of you have already been), just let us know. Any plots that were missed need to be compensated for, and I'll be more than happy to work with any of you on that.
