Fanvid: Long Trip Alone - The Doctor/Rose
*This Video Contains Spoilers for Doctor Who Series 4 Episode 13 -Journey's End*

I've always thought this song was perfect for the Doctor and Rose, so it was only fitting to make a tribute video using this song. From beginning to very end, they vowed to be there for one another. Life is a long winding journey and for maybe just a moment, they didn't have to travel it alone.

Fic: The Sweet Taste of Revenge (NC-17)

Title:
The Sweet Taste of Revenge
Author: Vicki/ [info]kimori1024
Characters/Pairing:
Nine/Rose

Rating: Adult/ NC-17
Spoilers: None
Summary: After putting up with a hormonally challenged Rose all week, the Doctor feels he is entitled to a bit of revenge.
Disclaimer:  I own nothing. Except for Christopher Eccleston (He just doesn’t know it yet...)
A/N: Pure and shameless plotless smut. A bit of a much belated sequel to 'Cramps', though it isn't necessary to have read that one to understand this. Comments are love! :)

She gasped as his heated breath blew across her skin. “I hardly think it is at all fair that you should be able to do anything you please without some sort of consequence.” )

Knighthood for Chris?
This was over on a couple other sites.  Mods, if this isn't allowed feel free to delete, but I was asked to spread the word. I didn't see this posted in this com so I thought I'd post it. An online friend, doctor9fan, posted links to a  petition over on a couple of other servers to ask the Prime Minister to consider Chris for an honour or knighthood.  A friend on another  LJ com posted links and asked that I do likewise.   Chris does a lot of work for the community and for chairty and deserves one more than most. Please sign it. The more signitures we get, the more hope we can have that Chris will get the recognition he deserves.

To the petition

Thank you.

7 icons, 4 of Eccleston / Ninth Doctor
Multifandom, 6 Dr Who icons, Fourth and Ninth Doctors (I'll post the last Fourth Doctor one after the icontest is over, wups) and 1 random Ferris Bueller's Day Off icon. These may be my last, folks; I wouldn't give away my favoritest Nine (#4) otherwise. Enjoy, comment, credit!

Recommendations for things to do in England.
My partner and I are going to England in November 2008 for our honeymoon and I'm looking for ideas of things to do. We have tickets to see Hamlet and Love's Labors Lost in Stratford, I want to go to both Dickens World and the Dickens House Museum. Any other suggestions of things to do while we're there for 2 weeks? Any good resources to find out what the Doctor Who actors are up to during this time period? Any other suggestions?

Thanks for your time.

we wants it...
OK, totally wanting wallpapers or screen captures of Chris as The Rider.
It's probably too early... it's probably wishful thinking, but does anyone know if I can get my hands on such pretties? Or do I have to wait until it's on DVD and some nice person caps it? (I've seen 2 pics but nothing else)

The Seeker: The dark is Rising
So... Saw The Seeker, and to be perfectly honest I thought it was a bit *meh* but it looked really gorgeous- the cinamatography was awesome.
And... Christopher...Eccleston... Black...Leather... *Squees and falls down*
That alone is enough to make me buy it when it comes out on DVD.
Am I sad?

Am I crazy?
Ok, I might be out of my mind, but I recall seeing pictures/screen caps of Chris in a dragish looking outfit. Can some please verify this, hopefully with pictures, and tell me what movie it is?

If I'm nuts please let me know that too.

SyFi Genre Award Nominations: Christopher Eccleston

From SyFiPortal
Actors Lead Their Way To Genre Award Nominations
The 2007 SyFy Genre Awards broken down just for you!

By its very design, the Best Actor/Television and the Best Actress/Television categories of the 2007 SyFy Genre Awards are meant to be the one place where voters will see the best diversity of television shows.

But not even design could stop "Doctor Who" which has three nominations in the two categories, including both the leading men and a former leading lady.

Christopher Eccleston has an almost unprecedented three SyFy Genre Awards nominations in the Best Actor category for the tail end of his time with "Doctor Who" since the last few episodes of the first season were being aired on SciFi Channel in the United States at the beginning of the current eligibility period. But don't think that just because he just made it in that Eccleston's contributions should be overlooked.

"The Parting of the Ways" also is up for Best Episode/Television, and it was probably one of Eccleston's finest moments in the entire season facing mortality, and his biggest enemy, the Daleks.

Full list of noms: http://www.syfyportal.com/news423876.html

Go Vote!  http://www.syfyportal.com/genre-awards/2007/

The Dark is Rising trailer
My husband and I went out to see Harry Potter last night. After a million ads (sheesh, if I wanted those, I'd stay home and watch tv!), the trailers started. one started off showing the home life of a youngest brother getting pushed around. Then it started getting fantasy-like. When it showed a man on a horse dressed in black, I started slapping my husbands arm excitedly. He says "What? ow! What? Stop it, ow! What?" All I could say was "EEEEE!" And point to the screen. When I could finally say "Christopher Eccleston!" He said "His face was covered by a mask. How could you tell??" Only due to my Doctor Who obsession did he even recognize the name.
But anyway, even if Chris wasn't in the movie, it still looks fantasic. :)
