You don't have to be insane, though it helps. This is a community for eccentrics of all flavors: are you merely fashionably odd, a little touched, or do you live on the edge of the world in your mind?
Put on your monocle and come in for a cup of tea. The only requirements: you must be intelligent, or fake it well; you must be articulate and mainly polite; and you must be peculiar.
This is intended as a place for the aristocratically outlandish, and not for pitiable outcasts who can't string their words together, so a writing sample was formerly required for posting privileges; now, the doors are opened. As the cliche is really supposed to run, the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Unleash your inner pretensions!
