Don't forget to get you OSWOA ready, listed and in the galleries by this weekend. Make sure that you have "EBSQ" and "OSWOA" in the title of any work you want considered for Art Of The Day. I hope that there will be a lot of people participating. It's an excellent opportunity to get your work seen and get OSWOA's more exposure.

Here is all the information again...

The "For Sale - Art Of The Day" theme for August will be "OSWOA - Original Small Works Of Art". For those of you unfamiliar with OSWOA's, see below for more information. "For Sale - Art Of The Day" will run August 27th - September 2nd. The deadline for having your completed work in the EBSQ Galleries is 9AM Sunday, August 26th.

Artists who wish to create new work for the "OSWOA" themed Art Of The Day may do so. Anyone who would like their work to be considered for this sales week should have their work in the EBSQ galleries as well as listed for sale on eBay, Etsy, or Imagekind before Sunday, August 26th. All the art for Art of the Day is selected and formatted before the start of each week and is closed to additions once the week begins.  Remember to be sure to include "EBSQ" and “OSWOA" somewhere in your title and description both on EBSQ and at the sales venue of your choice.

Work for this Art Of The Day will be chosen in the same manner as regular Art Of The Day work. The artwork will epitomize the theme as well as compliment the other pieces to be included that week. I wish that we could feature everything that fits a theme but we obviously can't. However, artists not included in the AOTD line up will still benefit. There will be something very obvious in every "For Sale - Art Of The Day" write-up stating that there are many other works available and how they can be found.

As always,  if you have any questions, please drop me a line at
edu@ebsqart.com

OSWOA: Original Small Works Of Art
OSWOA's are works of art sized 4x6 or 6x4 only. They must fit into 4x6 photo album sleeves and they must be original works of art - not prints. If the work is digital art or a photograph, only one copy can be considered an OSWOA. There are no limited or open edition OSWOA's

The early reviews are in!

I am really impressed with the new format.  It is very neatly formatted and easy to navigate.  So much up front information with easy access.   I LOVE IT.

One problem I ran into.  I wanted to send a post card and it asked for me to log in with my log in name and password.   YUCK   I am lazy and really hate to add this info.   Did I do something wrong or is this the only way to send a postcard?

LOVE it!!!  I don't have much time to check my e-mails in the morning and this is great.  I love seeing the new art of the day....but often if the "subject matter"  doesn't interest me, I don't have time to go look and probably miss some good art.  Thanks for the change.

Love the new layout! GREAT JOB!!!

love it!!!!!
much brighter and easier to use.
tks!

I like it! It looks much cleaner and professional. I also like that you can see that art in the email without having to click a link.

Great job!

It is so much easier to enjoy the artwork at first glance now that I don't have to open a seperate window to view the featured artist's work.

Our computer can be quite fickle at times; not to mention, downright slow!

Keep up the good work as we all know that an artist's talent is what makes this old Earth more interesting to live in.

I like it. It looks very professional..

I like the new format but the font size is far too tiny for my old eyes.........

 Hi ~

The new layout looks great! Classy, clean and efficent to see the art right in the email. Great job!

Thanks for your efforts...

I LOVE it! How exciting to see it RIGHT in the mail!

Love the new design!!!

EBSQ Art of the Day revamp...Fantastico!  I love the fact that all the pieces are available for purchase this week and there is a link to them on Ebay. Thanks for all you do!

   NO!!!

I don't like this "new" format! I like that moment of anticipation BEFORE it "just appears"! It's like a present, being wrapped or just handed to you!  and reading about what the subject is gives time to ponder.
Another problem is that the spacing is just CRAMPED on the left side! The placement of the picture should be centered, for balance.(or at least "some" space to the left)
I DO look forward to these pics daily!!! I wasn't fond of last week's factories.  I suppose it is tough coming up with new & different topics!

Thanks to one and all for your feedback!

Our Art of the Day feature is being a bit cranky due to the turning of the calendar (and perhaps too much champagne?) We're at work on the problem and hope to have it fixed shortly.

In the interim, might we tempt you with the following timely video?

Do you have an idea for a zany theme? Would you like to see a week of nothing but llama art? Or just art whose titles start with z? Perhaps you'd like to do a week of orchids in honor of your mom's birthday? Starting in January 2007, we'd like to turn the mike over to you! Drop us a line with your chosen theme and if there is a week/occasion associated with your theme. If your theme is selected, we'll contact you to help us to put together your week of Art of the Day. You'll be listed as the guest curator, and we can even link back to your website, blog, or pet cause. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
