| About: |  This community is for recipe sharing, cooking questions, finding a recipe for a long lost favorite food, table decorating tips, asking questions, and making friends. I have been obsessed with cooking and entertaining since I was little. I think I made my first Thanksgiving dinner when I was 11. I have TONS of cookbooks, and I love to create and make up my own recipes as I go along! Feel free to post recipes for anything at anytime! This is not a theme-only community like some others. This is like an extension of one of my famed dinner parties - online! All posted recipes will be put into the Memories "Recipe Box", and some of the really good ones will be viewable only to community members! I will cross-index them so they will be easier to find. For example, for Chocolate Mousse Strawberry Trifle, the recipe could be found under Desserts, Strawberries, and Chocolate. This is also an easy was to find recipes you may be looking for before you post a request for it to the community. Join if... ~ You're interested in recipe sharing, making friends, and learning about cooking, food, and technique. ~ You have a giant stash of delicious recipes and feel the burning need to share! ~ You can have civil conversation and are drama free. ~ You comment on recipes you're taking and/or have tried. Who doesn't love a little feedback and/or praise? ~ You're not obsessed with calorie counting, carbs, or ana. Although you may post recipes that are low fat, etc, this community is geared towards entertaining and good food, not weight loss. What's Okay to Post ~ Recipes, recipes, recipes! ~ Reviews of kitchen gadgets and cookbooks. ~ Requests for recipes and information. ~ Questions about cooking techniques or materials. ~ Reviews of fabulous restaurants, diners, delis, and bakeries. ~ Tips for decorating your table, dining room, or party area. ~ Links to articles, items for sale, or photos as long as they're community related. What's Not Okay to Post ~ Recipes which include veal, foie gras, or any other meat which is obtained by means which entail cruelty to animals. ~ Promotions for other communites. ~ Links to porn. *(Post those in my personal journal though, will you?)* ~ Surveys or quizzes, unless they relate to food. Guidelines ~ Post, post, post! I love active communities! Tell your friends! ~ Use the name of the dish as the title of your post. If you have a wonderful recipe for chicken curry pasta, the title should read Chicken Curry Pasta, not yummy pasta dish. This will help to find recipes in the Memories Recipe Box later on. ~ Before posting a request for a recipe, check in the Memories Recipe Box. What you are looking for may already be there! ~ If you post more than two pictures, (we LOVE to see pics!), bear in mind that only one of your images may be visible on the main page, and that it should not be any larger than 400 x 400 pixels.
