Goatse pretzel

Raptor Jesus
Many music recommendations

Hey guys!

Just a quick note to let you know that we finally got our own forum.

Head on over, and don't forget to change your regional affiliation.

Hey guys!

It's your new ML here- the site is down, but for anyone reading this, I wanted to get you caught up on the 411. I know that the east valley has been neglected in the past, but since I am moving to mesa sometime this month (hopefully), Rhia and I decided that the best thing to do would be to split up.

Now, we are supposed to be getting our own region, but things are kinda wacky with the site right now- I am in contact with headquarters and we should have it soon. If for some reason we don't then we'll still operate in the Phoenix forums, despite being separated.

I'm in the process of finishing out the calendar for the region, and hope to have it tackled down by next week at the latest. For now, just plan on something every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday being available to you. And if anyone can recommend a good coffee shop for the far east parts (Queen Creek-ish) I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm really looking forward to getting to know all of you this year, and if you have any questions, feel free to leave a comment here or email me at eavawrimo@gmail.com.

OH and we have a myspace too, if anyone is interested.

I know this is a long shot, but is anyone that far East? Otherwise, I will try to make some of the other ones. Is there a Google calendar for the East Valley?

Thanks!

*** OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT ***

I have reserved the community room of the Mesa Bookmans for November 15 (Thursday) from 5-7pm. At 7 is a Belly Dancing Class. Will also look to move it to after 7pm class depending on length of it.

So for now it is 5-7 pm.

Chris

--------------

The address of the Mesa Bookman's is 1056 S. Country Club Dr. Mesa, AZ 85210 the major cross streets of Southern and Country Club

It's a straight shot by bus for me so I'll be there!

...So it might be time to start thinking of November.

Anyone want to do some East Valley specific write-ins / get this group going again?

I'm back in the East Valley officially this year so I can help out. (Last year I was officially in North Phoenix which officially sucked.)

Thought I'd see if there was any interest in trying to get this up and going again.

I'll organize, if so.  If not...well, it was worth a try, wasn't it?

Tuesday, Nov. 8: Starbucks at Cooper & Warner in Gilbert (NW corner, behind Sunflower Market),
6:00-9:00 pm. Sorry it's so corporate and stuff, but it's so easy to find a Starbucks...

Saturday, Nov. 12: Bookman's (Southern & Country Club)
from 10 am - 1 pm

Wednesday, Nov. 16, Coffee Plantation on Mill,
6-9 pm

Saturday, Nov. 19: Bookman's (Southern & Country Club)
from 5 pm - 6:30 pm

That's all that I found, tell me if I missed any or we want to plan new ones.

That sounds dramatic, doesn't it? "Writers of the East Valley." Kinda like a horror story.

Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else around here would like to organize any meetings or exchanging of writings to review and brainstorm and procrastinate together. I mean, after all, if you can't think of anything else to write, you may as well be helping someone else, or at least doing nothing with someone else.

Currently, I live on ASU campus right now. If anyone else is interested in meeting up and is near by, feel free to contact me. :)

So far this is what I have. Its a tentative chapter at the moment. I know its small, but I figure after NaNo if the story feels good I can go back and fix it. Today I am just getting into my writing. I had a busy day yesterday.

Read about Di'mah and her friends )

x cross posting into my journal as well.

The new format looks nice, thanks for taking the time to set it up.
