AboutThis community is devoted to travel, pictures, discussions, news (including sports and entertainment stories), and expatriate living for those Eastern European countries east of the Czech Republic and Germany (explanation of why these two countries are excluded later on).
Pretty much it's a free for all to explore Eastern European culture in whatever way you want to.

WHY THIS COMMUNITY EXISTS
(AND EXCLUDES TWO COUNTRIES)
From Slovenia all the way east to Russia, there's an Eastern Europe that remains greatly unexplored as most Americans (and to a lesser extent other Anglophones) seem to stop at Prague or Berlin.
In doing so, most tourists miss a really exciting area of Europe. That's the part this community covers.
This community exists to pick up where most travel and European discussion communities leave off - at Prague and Berlin (eastofprague just sounded better than eastofberlin which could refer to a location within the city).

The primary language of the community is English. Posts in other languages won't be deleted, but there are no guarantees anyone will respond to them (since there are a ton of languages and dialects spoken in the various countries of the community).
