a butt-load of fake fur scraps [Jun. 10th, 2009|11:39 pm]

jovino
We have about 10 trash-bags FULL of fake fur scraps. They are FREE for the taking. Most are similar to the DF "promo shag" (fluffy fur) and their dready stuff. Black, white, pink, red, and some random things.

Hit me back to arrange a time to pick them up. We're in East Oakland.

Local IRC chat place [Apr. 26th, 2009|02:58 pm]

shadowlab
It's been awhile since I've made a post about this, but I try to keep everyone in the loop and let newcomers aware of our local chat network.
I currently admin the San Francisco Bay Area chat channel and have heard people would like to stop in and chat awhile. We've had this channel since around 2003 and still going strong. On average, we have anywhere from 20 - 30 fuzzies in here chatting it up.

Not a local? Come by anyway. We have about 10 regulars who aren't in the area, but come by to just hang out.

For the savvy, we're on the Anthrochat IRC network (irc.anthrochat.net) in channel #baycafe.

For those who have no idea what I'm talking about, send me a reply and I'll do my best to walk you though the steps.

Bunny Jam! [Mar. 30th, 2009|01:23 pm]

neonbunny
Really looking forward to this year's jam. Gonna be the biggest and best one so far. This year, we're moving to the new Nimby space. An Oakland warehouse that probably has some of the best connections to the bay area arts community. And with almost unlimited space, we're traded in the over pack crowded floors for more art than we've ever had before. Expect nothing but the best bunny party you've ever been to! If you have never been to bunny jam, and you enjoy fun events with an anthropomorphic twist, you won't want to miss this.

And we are constantly adding new stuff every day! Recently added will be a dj area, with such bunnilicious dj's as Jovino and myself!

Visit the Bunny Jam web site for more info!

for those who like to "rave" [Mar. 5th, 2009|10:50 pm]

jovino
Opulent Temple is hosing a really kick-ass party tomorrow (Friday) night. You can find all the details here: http://www.opulenttemple.org/archives/000138.php

If any of you are interested in a car-pool, caravan, home base or whatnot, My place is fairly close to the event space in East Oakland, right off of the Fruitvale BART. Most likely I will be out all night and catch a morning shuttle back to Oakland since it's unlikely I will be in the proper headspace for driving. :) There's really easy pub-trans/walking directions in case you're interested.

Hit me up here or on my cell (for-one-five-SWINGER).

The best east bay pizza places [Mar. 2nd, 2009|09:44 pm]

futcion
As if the 32 microbrews and incredible pizza of Mission Pizza could not be awesome enough, now there's Pizza and Curry. I just had Alloo Gobi pizza with bacon, garlic, and feta cheese on it delivered to my house. This kind of pizza is truly one of the best things mankind has ever produced, and we can justify our existence in the universe simply by pointing to that pizza and grunting.

Furries ay WonderCon [Mar. 1st, 2009|11:21 pm]

jovino
After watching the video located at: http://www.latinoreview.com/news/wondercon-2009-guapo-cam-day-1-part-2-6287 -- I have decided what WonderCom really needs more furries! It's time that we start to invade and bring some furry art, culture and a sense of community to this... this... thing (words escape).

This weekend as we vended at WC, I realized that what "conventions," such as Further Confusion, offer over "all the others;" is a community comprised of a vast selection of variantly talented individuals who as a whole can really bring it together.

It's time that these convention "malls" start to get furred!

WonderCon [Feb. 17th, 2009|11:04 pm]

jovino
Hey kids!

I wanted to put the word out that bunnywarez will be at WonderCon this year!

If you got to the dealer's den any time later than 3pm on Friday, you most likely noticed the empty clothing rack that once held all of our kigurumi-style jammies. Well, fear not! We're gonna have a huge batch of them next weekend to ensure that we will have enough to go around. We'll be offering a Black Kitty, Black Bunny, Pink Bunny, Brown Bear, Red Fox (our hottest seller) and a brand new addition: Panda! We have 2 sizes to make sure that we will have something that fits you!

If you can't make it to WonderCon, then keep an eye on our website. We'll have them available for purchase online early next month.

Sewing & production help needed immediately! [Jan. 10th, 2009|09:02 pm]

jovino
[mood | busy]

Hi hi!

We're preparing for a couple of upcoming cons (FurCon and WonderCon) and we need some helper bunnies! (Actually, we don't discriminate on the basis of species.) ;-)

We're looking for someone who has experience with hand sewing and/or machine sewing/serging. We also need help with cutting, pinning, and other aspects of garment production. We're looking for someone who is reliable and conscientious. You don't need to be an expert, but being detail-oriented is a big plus! Doing it right the first time is more important than speed - though both together would be ideal.

We are located in lovely East Oakland, convenient to BART and the 880 freeway. Pay is negotiable, based on skills. Hours are flexible, but we typically start work around noon.

Drop us a line or give us a ring if you are interested.

Pirates! Yarr! [Jun. 10th, 2008|02:34 pm]

jovino
This Saturday (and actually all weekend) is the Northern California Pirate Festival in Vallejo, CA. A bunch of my friends are going, and I think it would be a great place to do some 'suiting. I'll be there in my Pirate Bunny costume (not a fursuit, but it's certainly furry-themed).

Many of us are taking the ferry from San Francisco for an even more piratical adventure. We're even going to try to get the ship captains to fly the jolly roger during the trip.

Yarr!

See you there you scurvy dogs!
