OK, I know you've all been waiting with bated breath for this. First of all, the actual numbers bring us to just under 500 total (!) and -- we swear we did not rig this -- they are perfectly even, with 244 sorted sharks and 244 sorted eagles. I guess there really *is* someone for everyone -- y'all will have to scout each other out.

HOWEVER [big toothy grin] it is my great pleasure to announce the tie-breaking winner of the pep rally cheer contest.... for TEAM SHARK, ladies and gentlemen, ryyudo!

However, we sharks do love us some bird, and I hope all you eagles take consolation in the fact that you're currently winging your way off the endangered species list. Keep that up and when humans finally wipe themselves out, you can take over as the dominant force on the planet! Way better than winning some internet contest. :) (Also, I encourage you to check out all the cheers people posted; there were some really awesome entries. We particularly liked the ones by arwengreenleaf, pheep, and 13742.)

So, team_eagle and myself want to thank y'all for a really fun month. It's been a blast sorting teams, thinking up contests and polls, and checking out the results as they roll in. This community is now officially closed -- but if you happen by and still want to find out the answer to life's ultimate mystery, you can still check out the movie's website and answer a few questions there :)

Hello to new visitors -- if you haven't posted your answers to the questions yet, I'm sorry, but we won't be able to respond to them -- the community is closing as of midnight and we need a little time to wrap up last minute chores. Q1: When I have a crush on someone I show it by... Getting to know them. I am usually a bit kinder and nicer around that person. I'll get excited when with them, laugh a lot around them and try to be a bit better of a person overall. But I definitely give that person space and never try to be overbearing. I give them time to like me the same, or if they never end up liking me then we probably end up being friends. :]

Q2: If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be... Doing something adventurous and possibly a bit dangerous. I'd love to go to Mt. Fuji (anywhere in Japan really) and go touring around in London. Exploring tombs in Egypt is always lovely and visiting the most haunted sites in the world would definitely tickle my fancy. Really I would love to be anywhere that is new and interesting. As long as it is a place that I have never seen before, then I want to be there.

Q3: My family drives me up the wall when they... Decide to dive into a huge argument. I rather like peace in my safety area (my family && home) and despise conflict. Though I sometimes get heated and join in the fight as well, by the end I'm the one trying to settle it. They also drive me crazy when they start being extremely obnoxious and judgmental, but I can ignore it for the most part. I love my family (even if I disagree with them on a lot of things) and would rather save the fighting with people I dislike/ and or hate.

Q1: When I have a crush on someone I show it by...mocking them with extreme sarcasm, especially when they crack a bad joke.  Generally speaking, though, I'll act shy and petrified around them and not say much, but stare at them, observing their finer aspects and appreciating them.  I break eye contact when it's granted.  I also listen to more indie pop and think of them while the music washes over me.

Q2: If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be...in a small French town, working in a boulangerie or a local bookstore or a vegan grocery store, speaking French and being fairly busy.  I'd really love to work in a boulangerie, though, even though I'm really not much of a cook.

Q3: My family drives me up the wall when they...make dumb vegetarian jokes, make dumb teenager jokes, tell me to part my hair more in the middle, say "DEEBO", talk to me while I'm on the phone and the person on the other end of the phone is talking to me at the same time, tell me to turn down Jenny Lewis (WTF?!), mock Jenny Lewis, make assumptions about me, make assumptions about my activities, mispronounce French words (like voila, which they pronouce "waa-laaah"), ask me not to straighten my hair, say "ME TUB-OO-LAH" (Furby phrase that my sisters and I interpreted as, "I'm fat"), mock me, embarrass me...the list goes on, but I love them.

Q1: When I have a crush on someone I show it by... walking past them a lot, talking to their friends, and getting my friends to talk to them.

Q2: If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be... anywhere that has good live music, or out in the lakefront.

Q3: My family drives me up the wall when they... ask me questions they know I can't answer. They always ask me why two of the same shirt have different prices. I don't price them so I wouldn't know.

Q1: When I have a crush on someone I show it by... flirting subtley (subtly? subtle-ee?) and I guess if I thought the guy liked me back, I'd probably leak to a close friend of his that I liked him so that something could happen. :o)
Q2: If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be... either at the beach or in the future, on July 20th for two reasons.. I'd love to be waiting on line at Borders waiting for the 7th book and also because that's my birthday so I'll have finished my little party and gotten loads of cash. :o) NICE.
Q3: My family drives me up the wall when they... punish me for stupid crap. This is really mostly directed towards my parents rather than my sister or something. Sometimes I'll come home like five minutes late and then the next night I'll be given a curfew of like 10:30 pm when I use to be able to stay out forever, have no curfew. It's now because I'm getting older that they're starting to suspect me for bad behavior and whatnot. It sucks.

So, first the numbers: we sharks only have a tiny bit of ground to make up, since we are swimming right along at 238 members to -- ok, they're ahead of us with 240, but since we are totally going to win the lame pep rally cheer contest, the judging of which has been turned over to a top-secret special guest moderator who is a little less biased than either team_eagle or myself, I have confidence that everything will right itself in the end. Which is tomorrow. So keep your fingers crossed, because we've got only 24 hours to go....

Question 1: When I have a crush on someone I show it by... Actually I don't even know how I show it. Apparently, I have no idea when I am flirting (so I am told). So I guess that means I show the person I like personally that I like them but I don't know when I am. How I do it is beyond me. I will take a guess and say I let off those obvious signals of laughing too much, hesitated eye contact, turning red a lot, and getting too excited when I see that person. Typical I suppose.

Question 2: If I could be anywhere right now, I'd be... Hmm well seeing as of right now I am suppose to be cleaning all our windows in the house I would pretty much want to be anywhere but here. To be specific, and probably giving you the answer you are looking for, I would rather be in a  book. I want to be inside a story, if that doesn't sound weird enough, I want to be in Harry Potter. Honestly, I am not the only freak who would love to be in Harry Potter's life as of right now. I suppose Hogwarts would be a fantastic place. Now if you are thinking some place on this planet probably Canada. I have no specific reason for Canada I just have been there once and it was amazing. Mind you I have been a lot of places such as Hawaii, Maui, Cancun, Disney, ect...

Question 3: My family drives me up the wall when they... Treat my brother as a Prince and act as if I can't do anything right. Which would be about 24/7. Prince Jonathan, as I call him, leaves in the morning for his routine workout, comes home to eat and mess up the house, then is going until midnight or later. Now I end up cleaning his crap, getting yelled at for apparently doing nothing, and get bribed to do his work. Then after all the work is done my mother forgets to "pay" me. This happens in a cycle. I tell my parents about it and I am being too "melodramatic" and then they say they love me and I am still infuriated. Makes me angry but I would not say in the least I am a "sad" person. None the less, he is a prince I am the evil sister. Fin.
