| About: |  Hello everyone! This community is for fans of the Russian figure skater Evgeni Plushenko. There are many different ways to spell his name and I've had trouble finding the correct spelling, but I have settled on this one! I have also seen it spelt Evgeny and Yevgeny. About me: Do I skate? My name is Sammy and I am the mod of this community! I'm Scottish however, not Russian! I used to skate for about 7/8 years. I wasn't great, but I could do a few jumps and spins and the main thing is that I enjoyed it. I stopped about a year ago because, the horses won the battle of time. If you read my journal you'll understand this! I still enjoy watching figure skating on the tv and plan to start going again just for fun everyso often. How did I learn about Evgeni? I remember first seeing Evgeni skate on television while watching with my grandma, (she loves skating) quite a few years ago. I can't remember which programme it was but I remember thinking how amazing he was how great he looked! Anyway since then I've always looked out for him, and tried to watch the skating when I could to see if he was there. Then the 2006 Olympics came along and I thought "Yay! This is my chance to see the Russian guy again!" I didn't know his name at that point. I was thilled when he won this year! That got me really interested in him and so, i started this community! I'm sure alot of you will know alot more about him than me, so this community is about sharing knowledge and pics and videos and anything as long as it's ok by the rules below! Ok, here are the rules of this community: 1) Feel free to post pictures, icons, banners, wallpaper, news etc. However, if you are posting many or large pictures, or a long article please put them behind an lj cut! 2) When posting pictures, don't hotlink Please upload them onto photobucket etc first! 3) No gossiping! Please don't post malicious rumours, or anything too private about Evgeni's life. Let's keep it to the subject of his amazing skating or how extremely good looking he is! 4) Please don't promote communities UNLESS they are skating or Evgeni related! 5) Try not to offend anyone else, this is no place for lj drama! Please just be sensible when posting and think before you hit that button! Right I think that's it! Have fun! NOTE: If I have used ANY photos that belong to anyone and you are not happy about them being on here, please tell me and I will remove them!
