A community journal to post about living with Dystonia A quick overview of Dystonia: Dystonia is classified as a neurological movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle contractions, which force certain parts of the body into abnormal, sometimes painful, movements or postures. Dystonia can affect any part of the body including the arms and legs, trunk, neck, eyelids, face, or vocal cords. I started the Dystonia project in the hopes that maybe we can get some answers. We all know what the symptoms are, but we're more than just symptoms... we're people who have to go thorugh dificulities every day. Sometimes we don't express our feelings because we try to protect each other, and everyone ends up thinking they're alone. By discussing things each time, wewill find that we can then understand how we're feeling, and it's not a bad thing to talk about these things. | ||
