Asking for some Recs
I've been sorting through all sorts of places but, being new to the fandomish side of DW I'm getting myself a bit lost. :D

So I figured I'd put this out to you all!

Put under a cut due to spoilers for the finale of Torchwood and the current Dr Who:

I'm looking for any fic that deals with Utopia issues, such as the canon reason as to why Jack was left behind by the Doctor - that the Doctor knew Jack is now somewhat immortal and it freaks him out. And what this may mean - the Doctor having known all of this and never finding Jack to explain or apologize. Yadda yadda.

I'm interested in AU types of post-Utopia, in which 'the end' is dealt with differently. Or later on the Doctor once again meets up with Jack, or Jack never leaves the Doctor and agrees to come with him.

I really want the Doctor and Jack (and even Martha) explored with the whole, "I was afraid of you because you can't die anymore and that freaks me out and I'm sorry for abandoning you and I trapped Rose and she's not coming back, much woe!" issue that most Doctor and TW!Jack (that I've found) don't have.

Bonus points to those who can find a fic with a reference to Jack dying to save the world from Torchwood's finale!

It can be slash, I don't mind, although if there's Ianto/Jack it can't be the main pairing, happy for it to be referred to though. I'm fine with past Rose/Doctor, or past Rose/Doctor/Jack. No Martha pairings please (although I'm happy with one-sided Martha/Doctor).

I love the way [info]cantralian writes as a heads up. I'm pretty sure this type of fic doesn't exist, so if you can prove me wrong I will absolutely love you. :D

I don't have anything where they really *deal* with those issues. I have a lovely Ten/Jack piece with past Rose/Ten/Jack where they talk about the loss of Rose if you don't find anything else. I might have some more, but I'll have to dig around.

You might try over at [info]tenxjack or maybe even [info]better_with_3. Good luck!

Am currently soaking up [info]wendymr's work who had similiar to what I was looking for. So will totally be taking a look at those places you recced next.

This is a VERY belated comment, but if you find/have found any similar fics you can recommend, would you let me know? I'm in a similar position to you (new to fandom, interested in finding fics which really hash out Jack and Ten's issues and maybe have Ten apologizing?), right down to reading [info]wendymyr's fics right now. Any help you have would be great - but of course this post is a year old, so if you can't help, that's fine. :)
