The owner, moderator and maintainer of Duran Stories is me,
alannahjoy, author of Duran Duran slashfics as well
as many non-fanfic mystery stories. Co-moderator isheartofdavid,
author of stories in the fandoms of Duran Duran and the band Japan.

The rules here are simple:
1. NO HETEROSEXUAL STORIES, PLEASE. Het stories should be
taken to a Duran het community such as![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
dd_rpf.
2. Authors are expected to pay attention to the readability
of their writing. If your story is incoherent, contains
technical issues such as failure to use paragraph breaks, is loaded
with spelling errors, or reads as if it has been hastily slopped
together, it will be deleted and you will be given an explanation.
You will be welcome to re-work and re-submit the story. If you'd
rather not take the time to make your story the best it can be, this
is not the community for you.
3. All stories must feature one or more of the following Duran band members:
Nick, Simon, John, Andy, Roger, Warren.
Crossover pairngs (for instance, Nick and David Sylvian) and original characters
are welcomed and encouraged, as long as a Duran is part of the pairing.
4. Questions/discussion regarding slashfic writing and writing in general,
research questions regarding the band, requests for a beta, etc. may be posted
here. Please keep non-story posts related to DD slash and/or writing.
5. Our authors love feedback, so please leave comments for the stories!
Constructive criticism is welcome as long as it is just that: constructive
and civil. Comments should be about the story, not the author.
6. Begin each story with the following header:

7. Stories containing explicit adult content rated NC-17 or higher must be
"locked"; ie, posted as "Friends Only".
8. The body of the story must be enclosed in LJ-cuts, so the story itself
is hidden when you view the main page. For instructions, see:

9. Stories should be posted directly to the community. If you have a reason
for wanting to post a link to a story at a different journal or site, please contact
a mod.
10. We love to allow each author her/his own day in the sun, so one story
per day should be posted. If one story has multiple chapters, then multiple chapters
of that story can be posted in a single day. Non-story posts are limitless and
may be posted at any time.
11. Drama within the stories is great. Drama among the community members is not.
alannahjoy has an extremely low tolerance level for drama and for trolls.
In other words, play nice or be kicked out of the sandbox.
Note for our readers: Our wonderful authors are not just from England
and the USA. They are from all over the world! Finland, Spain, Russia and
other countries. So please keep in mind that English is not everybody's first
language. We all do our best to portray the band members as realistically
as possible. However, if the speaking dialect of the British band members (or
the American English in a Warren story) are not exactly perfect, a gentle
correction is welcome but snide comments will put you on the mods' unhappy side.
