Welcome to the first challenge of 2008. We took a wee hiatus at the end of 2007 so that I could suss out how to make this community friskier. I hope those who took the time to answer the poll I set up last year find that their yays and nays were listened to and the challenges modified by their suggestions.

Behind the cut you will find three separate challenges. The first two will have three screencaps/challenge. Select the cap you prefer and icon away! Text is up to you :) That will account for two of the maximum three entries/challenge period.

The third challenge will consist of a quote challenge AND a wildcard screencap. If participants aren't moved by the quote selected for the quote challenge, they can use this screencap instead as their third entry for this challenge period. If participants wish to do the quote challenge, you may use whatever cap or image you would like, from any screencap archive you can find.

Overall, the responses indicated that some folks are interested in seeing the community hold challenges.

So, starting February, 2008, the challenges will resume!

No, I didn't forget about the community. I am just a bad, bad mod who got caught up in the nuttiness of work, friends visiting from away and... well, just plain scatter-brained-ness.

No quote challenge this month! I decided to go with a selection of screencaps that I uploaded at random to Photobucket. Behind the cut you will find three pairs of caps. You may make an icon from one cap in each pair (for a grand total of three icons for submission). Text is up to you, and the rest of the standard rules apply.

Deadline for entries is Monday, August 20/07! Please have fun!
