Just wondering if anyone has this game & is interested in opening up their town gate to a fruit collector? (I need anything but peaches XD)

I'm a n00b at this game, but I won't come in & trample all over your flowers or anything. I just want fruit :)

Brawl comes out in nine days. Exactly. This is going to be probably my favorite game. I've always appreciated the Smash Bros series. So many new features and ways to incorporate the Wii into games... This is one of the few opportunities that I have to say that this game will be awesome before actually playing it.

I also found an Instant Messaging service that uses the Web to IM and can therefore be used with the Wii. I think that if Nintendo had included a Tab feature to be involved in the Internet channel, then that would've been a lot more effective. But it's cool to use that when the computer's being used by someone else in my family. If you're interested, it's called "meebo".

Haven't played my DS in a while... I need to get that out again.

I've noticed that when I'm playing a game on my Wii, when I point the Wiimote at the T.V. when playing, like, Twilight Princess, for example, I seem to get better response from the dumpy speaker that is inside the remote than I would if my hand was just floating around, or in my case, resting on the top of our couch. Has this happened to you or am I just going crazy? :-D

Do you think it would be realistic if Nintendo made Super Smash Brothers Brawl for the DS? It wouldn't necessarily have the ability to use wifi to send pictures to your friends at stuff like that, but a Smash Bros game on the DS.

One thing that seems to have plagued my DS Lite is the hinge. It hasn't broken off, but it's kinda wiggly. Is there something that caused this and is there a way to fix it short of sending it to Nintendo?

I'm kinda ticked off because of that. Other than that, it's been a very loyal companion.

Now that I have found some time, let me do a quick little review for a few games.

First of all, Brain Age 2. Very good game; gets you frustrated and makes you realize how stupid you really are. But there are plenty of use from the features on the Nintendo DS; obviously, the touch screen. Also, it's very interesting, and fun, to use the Microphone on the DS. So you can actually use it for something instead of... nothing.

But that feature is totally meant for that type of game.

I've been hooked on Sudoku for Brain Age, as well since it has 100 different puzzles.

Okay, on to number 2.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. What can I say? Very good graphics, for the DS. The game is in a 2D-3D perspective. You swipe your pen to swing your sword, draw a course for your boat, draw a path for your boomerang... the game is actually meant to be on the DS. Also, something I was delighted to see once again, is the use of the microphone, and in this game, you use it a lot.

The first few dungeons are pretty easy, but there are a few spots where I've been stumped and had to think about it so it has redeemed itself in that part.

The use of the LAN for multiplayer is fun to use as well. I have yet to try Wifi for it, but it's exactly the same and you can actually have a challenge instead of beating the same person over and over again.

So I've really enjoyed that game so far.

The last one is one I actually bought myself and that is Super Mario Galaxy.

I never thought I'd see the day when that Wii could match- just match- Super Mario 64. I was completely wrong.

The graphics are AMAZING and the use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck is actually adapted into the game extremely well. I've only gotten a few stars and you learn more complicated moves as you proceed, but there are plenty of puzzles that require a move from the Wiimote/Nunchuck so far. The story line is excellent and doesn't abuse Mario 64 or Sunshine.

So for now, I'm gonna take off and go play some more Zelda. But more details are to follow.

Oh, and also... I'll just say it: Crimson and Black Lite.... so sexy!!!

New Website

The new website for Nintendo is up.

Personally, I'm not very impressed, but I've only looked around the Stars section so far. We can finally exchange our Stars for Wii Points, which has been a long time coming.

The conversion is 400 Stars to 100 Wii Points, which means that my 10,000+ Stars will net me about 2500 Wii Points, which is pretty nice. What isn't pretty nice is that the only denomination available is 100 Wii Points (300, 500 and 1000 all being "sold out". That's right, an online, paperless commodity can get sold out). So, I look forward to redeeming 25 times, and typing a 16-character code into my Wii 25 times.

BUT WAIT!

There is a limit on how many times you can redeem per day! Yup, you may redeem Stars fully TWICE per day.

(oh, and Nintendo has the front to tell me that 1500 of my Stars will expire at the end of the month)

(oh, and you know how whenever you bought a Virtual Console title, it said on the website "Check back here soon to see how to claim your Stars for this game"? Yeah, well that has now been completely ignored, as there is no sign of any Stars gained for them, or any message any more)

Like I said, I'm not very impressed.

Nintendo has a new website. As it appears, Nintendo seems to have gotten rid of the Gamecube and GBA SP and Micro links, at least for USA which probably means they aren't in production anymore. Probably updating it with the new consoles. wOOt wOOt.

I sold my Nintendo DS at Gamestop for $60 and traded it for a Crimson Black Lite. I can't get it until Christmas, though, but I was curious if anyone else had one of these, since recently, they've been difficult to come across because they're a relatively new color.

Also, my little brother will be getting the Zelda Phantom Hourglass special edition Lite for Christmas as well. I was just wondering if anybody happened to have either of these.

Since the classic controller plugs into the socket of the Wiimote, would it have been an interesting idea if Nintendo had made it universal so the gamecube controller did the same to play game cube games, particularly multiplayer? The socket could take the shape of the gamecube plug-in and have it a little wider for other options such as the nunchuck or classic controller. This way it gives you the wireless freedom like the classic controller.

I don't care.

It'd be interesting. Perhaps Nintendo should have come up with a prototype before launch.

I really wish they did do this to start with.

Wii Remote Jacket Accessory

It's been a month since I've ordered it and it still hasn't been shipped. It just goes to show how quickly these things go.

If you want my advice, order yours after a month or so. Be careful around the holiday season, but wait a little before you order yours.

Drawn to Life on DS - a hidden gem!

I was bought this game as a surprise birthday present (I didn't even know it existed!) in September, and have just completed it. I have to say I've really enjoyed it, and as it's a bit of a little-known title I thought I'd share some thoughts about this game.
