| About: | A place to dump and share disgustingly simple, yet great looking, knitting patterns of your own* design. Not-so-simple patterns are of course welcome too. *All patterns must be your own creation. Patterns from other websites or people that are not YOU, will be denied. This isnt to discourage anyone, its to encourage you to make your own patterns up! A few rules 1. I'm sure I don't need to repeat myself, but in case you missed it: All patterns posted must be of your own design. The last thing anyone needs is a copyright suit against them. This also means that even if you found the most fabulous pattern somewhere on the internet that you should NOT post it here. That's not what this community is about. Linking to patterns on your own site is allowed, though for moderation purposes it would be nice if you just cut and copied it here. 2. If you do not know how to knit, or purl, or decrease, or increse, there are plently of online resources. Try stitchguide.com or about.com's knitting section. Please do not ask how to do any of the above in this community (unless it's directly related to a pattern.) Once again, this is for original designs of community members that wish to share within the public domain. 3. Since I brought it up, do not submit your pattern if you have copyrighted it. Unless you have "Submitted for use by Public Domain" somewhere on it, we really can't have it here. I know it sounds silly, but people do get pissy about patterns that they copyright and then post on the internet for all to see. 4. If you have a question for the person that submits a pattern then keep it in that particular thread. Do not make a new post. All new posts must be patterns only. (With the exception of an introduction post. It's always cool to get to know someone.) 5. When posting a pattern, please specify in the title what type of knitted/crochetted piece it is(ie. wash-cloth, scarf, shawl, etc.). This is for archiving purposes so that the patterns are easily accessible via Memories. If possible, always try to post a picture along with it. Do specify the particular yarn and needle size you used also. I don't think gauge is necessary unless you think its necessary. I'll leave that call up to you. That's really it folks. Please join up and let's see what we all have to share! | |
