| 24 Hour Comics Day Is October 20th! |

Not Drink 'n Draw related, and in fact it might conflict with it, but everyone should have options:
The RCC and myself are helping organize a 24 Hour Comics Day event, the only official, public one in Oregon at the moment, which will be held in the library of Pacific NW College of Art on October 20th. The event will run from 10am on Saturday, October 20th until 10am on Sunday the 21st, and it's FREE and open to anyone and everyone who wants to participate. I think we had 30 people last year and we are working on creating space for even more this year. Some food, snacks, and coffee will be provided, but you'll have to bring your own art supplies, of course.
If you are interested, head over to http://www.pnca.edu/comicsday for more information about the event as well as information on how to register, just so we can get a feel for how many people might show up.
Even if you can't or don't want to participate, PNCA should open to the public until midnight on Saturday, and it'd be a nice pickup to see some friendly comic supporters during this otherwise hellish trial of the human spirit. |

I'm not gonna be able to do it THAT DAY, but I do want to do another 24hrComic soon, like maybe this weekend. Probably not all in one sitting, but nevertheless...
If that's the case, I'd like to be there. I'm not a huge fan of being stuck in PNCA, but I like the idea of being forced to work on a comic for a protracted amount of time. Maybe with a break in the middle for some karaoke black-light bowling.

There are worse places to be stuck than PNCA, coming from someone who is stuck there three days a week.
It took me way too long to figure out what this meant for some reason, but I totally get it now. Not a bad idea to split the 24 hours into easy-to-handle chunks as opposed to the finger-crippling single chunk.
ooh, we should probably just reschedule the dnd to the next weekend-- there's five saturdays this month anyhow.
