For the last few days I have been trying to figure out what on Earth is wrong with my font. Nothing is wrong with it! There was a problem, which I fixed on the first fucking try several days ago.
When I take a font out of the font folder and put it in the trash, and replace it with an updated version of the font, I expect you to use the updated one that I put in the font folder, not the one in the trash!

[06 Sep 2008|09:50am] |
I've been trying to get a handle on the four folks on the tickets... and youtubing what they said BEFORE they were candidates seemed to be the best way to do it. heres my thoughts on that.. if theres interest I'll post the various clips... but I wasnt watching so much for what they said as my reaction to the PERSON. Dammit if only supposed *JOURNALISTS* would do work like this on both CANDIDATES (and the other running mate) we MIGHT actually be able to have something like a meaningful ELECTION (oh wait.. Diebold.. or their successor corporation.. drat)

So at least I managed to get a few things accomplished, even if sleep wasn't one of them. (Does that sentence make grammatical sense? Not sure, which is a big clue how tired I am.)
plotted scenes 16-25 in the GYAF expanded outline
did scenes 2:5 through 3:2 in the Elissa's Quest scene breakdown. Snarkage galore; it's going to need a LOT of work, if I decide to revise it.
finished scrawling scene #34 of HB3
If I go to sleep now, I'll get 5 hours.
To sleep, perchance NOT to dream of zombies ...

I'm exhausted, but sleep is hovering just out of reach going neener neener neener.
Last night, just as I was going to sleep, I had a nightmare. I was loading bodies on a ginormous conveyor belt, when they started to wake up.
I didn't get back to sleep until almost five.

A logical synopsis of World History ......... Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer more quickly. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups: 1. Liberals, and 2. Conservatives.
Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed.
Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to BBQ at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is now known as the Conservative movement.
Other men -- who were weaker and less skilled at hunting - learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly BBQs and doing the sewing, fetching, hair dressing, and dancing around the fire. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.
Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided.
Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals, of course, are symbolized by the jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with a slice of lime), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish, but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare.
Another interesting evolutionary side note: most liberal women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood, and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule in baseball because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat. Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines, and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies try to hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce very little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.
Here ends today's lesson in world history. It should be noted that a Liberal may have a momentary urge to angrily respond to the above before forwarding it. A Conservative will simply laugh and be so convinced of the absolute truth of this history that it will be forwarded immediately to other true believers, and to more liberals just to upset them.

| Dream |
[05 Sep 2008|10:08am] |
Last night I had a dream that I lost a tooth. I tried and tried to make it stay in but I couldn't. I felt out of control and powerless to control it. I also felt physically disgusting.
I looked up what this dream could mean:
Link
Oftentimes, it is not the dream of the teeth falling out that creates the disturbance to the psyche but the feelings that accompany the dream. There is often a feeling of helplessness, of powerlessness--the teeth are coming out and there is nothing the dreamer can do to stop the process. Sometimes teeth fall out, sometimes they are simply missing, sometimes they crumble away. Whichever way they make their exit, the dreamer is left with not only a gap in her smile, but a hole in her heart when she awakens.
If feelings of loss of control, helplessness or powerlessness accompany your tooth loss dream, the dream is typically acting as a mirror of a situation in waking life. Dreams of tooth loss coupled with anxiety reflect a fear of change, fear of transition. Ask yourself if there is some transition that you are fearful of making.
Sometimes tooth loss dreams point to a fear of failure or embarrassment. In waking life, when people lose teeth, they often cover their mouths when talking or smiling. Is there something you want to do but are afraid of undertaking because you fear you'll look foolish if you fail? Or is there something going on in your waking life that you feel you must hide or 'cover up'?
