Alright you guys! Daylodge, the Dramacon fanlisting, HAS been updated. There are quite a few new members, if yall are interested in talking up the series to anyone else. BUT! there are some new fanart posted! So go check it out.

Remember, I still need some of those Volume 3 PoPs! I haven't done one myself, so who am I to lead by example, huh? But you should send me yours! All I need is a picture of yourself holding your copy of Dramacon Volume 3. Since, in the past, we have had a few of us hold up whatever Dramacon material we have managed to get our hands on, I fully support the idea of having all three volumes, the Mangaka book, Books-a-million gift cards, bookmarks, posters, ANYTHING that has Dramacon on it, put it in your picture! I'd love to see what everyone has managed to collect over the years and I'm sure Svet would like to see them all too!

Hey everyone! I need your help. <3

A friend of mine is having a birthday coming up, and she looves Dramacon.
Well, I'm a fairly decent graphic artist, so I was planning on making her a MattxChriss wallpaper. I have an idea in my head, but the resources are scarce.

I had planned on scanning the moments myself, but I'm still working out some kinks with my new scanner. @_@;

What I neeeed is panels of MattxChriss moments. The big! The small! The funny! The sad! Any and every moment with MattxChriss in it. Even if it's not significant at all. Just everything! XD

In return, I will post a non-birthday version of the wallpaper on here for everyone to use~~ =D

The Beguiling is proud to celebrate the release of two new graphic novels by Canadian authors Svetlana Chmakova and Faith Erin Hicks! These writer/artists have crafted two fantastic new works, and they'll be signing books from 4pm-6pm at The Beguiling, Canada's foremost authority on comics and graphic novels.

Svetlana Chmakova is the author of the series DRAMACON, a world-manga titled published by Los Angeles-based TOKYOPOP. December will see the release of the third and final volume in this series about young comics creators trying to break into the manga publishing industry, and DRAMACON VOLUME 3 promises to be an explosive send-off!

Faith Erin Hicks is a long-time creator of webcomics and self-published mini-comics. ZOMBIES CALLING is her first graphic novel, a book-length tale of hardcore zombie movie fanatics who become trapped in a real zombie attack. You've never seen a 'spork' do so much damage! ZOMBIES CALLING is published by San Jose-based publisher SLG, a veteran publisher of independent voices for over 20 years.

I'm sure after reading volume 3 a lot of you are going through Dramacon withdrawl, especially since we know they'll probably won't be another volume in the series :( However, Svetlana Chmakova has a new series coming out next year called Nightschool!

Ok, so I've read volume 3 now. And I really need to know. IS THERE GOING TO BE A 4TH BOOK?! Seriously! Waaay back when the first one got published I read someplace on the internets that only 3 were planned. Is this true? I really hope not. I love this too much to be soo short!  I looked on both Tokyo Pops site and Amazon.com but didn't find any pre-order dates. T_T 

So can anyone give me a yes, no, maybe? If it's a no is there a way to politely bug the heck out of Tokyo Pop to commission more from Svet?

#transportation: now with the Hilton family of hotels, they have a shuttle. And I'm sure if we pitch in a little cash, they'll take us where we need to go. It's usually free for a certain distance, but I'm sure we could make the special arrangement (unless going to the Javits center just happens to b convient enough for them... hmmm). The Jacob Javits center also has it's own transportation, so getting back is no issue.

Now a little bit about me...

I'm 19. Unemployed. This wonderful con fun is paid for by a few dead relatives. I know, that's harsh, but it's the truth. I'm female, so beware. LOL. I don't mind noise at night (talking, gaming, etc., etc.) but loud obnoxious noises will get you thrown out on your ass very very quick. Uhm, I love anime (wait... that's why we're here, right?), I love video games, so if you're gaming infront of me, I'll be entranced for awhile... you'll also find me in the game room from time to time at most cons. It happens. I get tired, I go to the game room. MMM, Con-boy funk. >3< Heehee. Uhm, if you don't find me there... look near the Tokyopop booth. I'm a HUGE Svetlana Chmakova fan and run her fangroup so I'll be doing a lot of one on one work with her. >3< I'm an all around sweet girl and not alot of things get on my nerves. Uhm... I'm your typical anime fan. -nod-

The reason I ask this is because, whilst lurking on ACen's forums. Someone wanted to know if anyone else had interest in seeing Svetlana there. So far only 1 other person aside from the poster has shown interest. I know that essentially it all comes down to Svetlana's schedule and her wanting have this thing called a life. But I figure it couldn't help to show that more than just two people are interested in seeing her.
