The year is 2008 and the world has been slowly dying. Many people are blissfully unaware of the situation, believing that even during times of war between countries, poverty, and more, that most of the world is thriving. However, that will soon change for a select group of people across the planet. London, Chicago, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Moscow, Tokyo, Alexandria. It is in these seven cities where the world's fate will be decided. Will the Seals, the Dragons of Heaven, be capable of rescuing humanity? Or will the Angels, the Dragons of Earth, be successful in rescuing the Earth, at the cost of human life itself? How will the Dreamseers continue to go on with the heavy price they pay for the powers they were given? Will the Weaponbirthers be able to live their lives how they wanted to before meeting their fate? And that leaves the neutrals, caught between both sides and not yet chosen to defend humanity or the Earth. Welcome to the Dragons of Fate. Choose wisely. OOC// The Dragons of Fate is a Livejournal roleplay that is based on the concept of Clamp's series X/1999. However, instead of only allowing the canon characters from X/1999 or Clamp's other works, Dragons of Fate is a multi-fandom game. This means that anyone from any sort of media (whether it be from TV, movies, comics, etc) can participate in the end of the world. Due to the nature of the game, these will be AU versions of the characters. This means that Sasuke will have never been a ninja and Cloud never wielded a sword that was taller than him. As much as we would love for you to stick your characters into any city on the planet, there are seven to choose from. Once your character has settled into one of these cities, they can't move away. Vacations are allowed, but they eventually have to return to their home city. In each of the seven cities, there are seven barriers. The Seals can protect these barriers by setting up a kekkai and any destruction that takes place is only inside the alternate dimension that is created by the shield. If the Seal dismisses the kekkai, the barrier will stand. However, if the Seal is killed or if no kekkai is built, the barrier and surrounding area will be destroyed and can never be rebuilt. | |
