A plea for research
[info]retrospection_ is carrying out some research on the hypertext readings of texts such as we conducted with Dracula here, so if you took part in any way, even if you just read along silently, she'd love to hear from you.

Any "Clarissa" news?

Hello. While you're poking your virtual head back in this community:

Has there been any progress on Clarissa?

Curious,

It ended up stalled, I'm afraid. With any luck it might run next year.

Thank you for the answer. Best of luck with it next year!

(I rather wish I'd had skills to offer with regards to making Clarissa happen (I'm remembering your earlier request for help), but I don't really. I'll definitely watch for it, though...)

Is there a way to jump-start it? I'd be willing to put some time into helping. Though I haven't read it myself, nine volumes, wow; that's quite a task! But I wouldn't mind posting daily, I just wouldn't be fancy with the layout and how things look. And I suppose characters would need their own journals, too?

Still though, thank you and everyone who have helped with this. I hope to see this growing trend continue.

I realize there must be a better way to post this to the Dracula community, but I'm afraid the winter cold has stolen my brain and I can't manage to come up with a solution.

Dracula readers in the US may be interested in tonight's Masterpiece Theatre program: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/dracula/index.html

This version has Lucy's fiancee seeking out the Count in hopes of curing syphilis, so as not to pass it to dear, pure Lucy (or so I gathered from the TV preview writeup). I haven't seen it myself yet, so if it is horrid, I am not to blame for the waste of your evening watching it. :)
