Hello, welcome to draco_icontest. This is a community for those who love to make icons of the wonderful character Draco Malfoy who is played by Tom Felton in the Harry Potter movies based on J.K. Rowling's book series. As you can see by the name of the community this is a contest comm and not a place for you to post icons. Here you can challenge yourself and others with your creativity and new styles you come up with based on pictures and themes of either Draco or the house of Slytherin.



A few rules are to keep the community in shape so please obey, otherwise you will have to be banned. Each time you break a rule, you will be issued a warning. After three warnings, thats it, you're banned. So please read and follow these rules before joining, as I do not want to have to ban anyone.

1. You must join this community before you can enter in the contests.
2. Be creative. Please refrain from entering icons you have already used - when you submit an icon, we want to be as anonymous as possible. Therefore, please do not post your icons made for the challenge anywhere until the winners are announced, at which time you can do whatever you want with it. :)
3. Please do not steal or hotlink other peoples icons. If you like an icon you see on here and would like to use, ask the creator for permission to use it. And hotlinking is never tolerated, so don't do it.
4. Animation is permitted unless otherwise stated.
5. Do not use other peoples bases, use your own, unless the base is provided for a challenge.



Each week there will be a different challenge and they will hopefully be something that can keep you satisfied to work with. I will try to come up with creative ways and maybe even add in a few surprises in here and there for fun.

1. Every challenge will be either Draco/Tom or Slytherin related so do not enter any other related icons.
2. Members can submit up to two icons per challenge unless otherwise stated.
3. All of the entries must be Livejournal standard. (40KB and 100x100)
4. Again, please do not post or use your entered icon(s) until the challenge is over.
5. All entries will be screened until the contests are over.
6. When you enter your icon also put its image URL under it.
7. Do not ask others to vote for your icon. Thats cheating.
8. Be fresh! Do not enter icons you made last month or last week! Make an icon that is fitting to the challenge and that is new. Experiment!
9. I will post the challenges each Monday and then the entries can be entered until Saturday night, then voting will take place through Sunday - Monday night. I will post the next challenge on Monday and the winners on Tuesday.
10. If you have a question then keep it separate with your entry that way I can answer you. If you put them in the same comment then I cannot reply.

To make things a little clearer for you, here is an example of what an entry to a challenge would look like. Any icon entries submitted should look like this. Remember, always post the URL to the icon under the image itself.

For voting there are also a few guidelines. Please follow these as the rules above otherwise the same punishment applies.


1. Non-members may vote but you have to have an account on LJ and be logged in. 'Anonymous' votes will not count, so don't try it.
2. Please do not vote for yourself.
3. If there are only five entries when it comes to voting you can vote for less than three icons but not more than three.
4. When you vote it doesn't matter in what order as long as it is three icons (unless this interferes with rule 3) just as long as those are the three you like best.
