AboutThis is a community for the exchange of 100 word drabbles. Each session spans three weeks -- one week for sign-ups, and two for the writing/posting of drabbles. There will also be a rest week in between sessions (from fourth round onwards).
Author identity will not be revealed, though the authors are of course free to re-post their works in their own journals.
Do please contact the mods at drabble.trade@gmail.com if you're not going to be able to make the deadline (though, dude, 100 words! We're not looking for the second coming of Homer here. *g*) Any other questions or suggestions can also be directed to that address.
Rules:
1. Each person can request from an unlimited number of fandoms, though in the interest of facilitating match-ups, we require that at least one of the options is included in this list of fandoms:
(If you think that this list is too narrow, feel free to comment with a large fandom that we've missed.)
2. A drabble is exactly 100 words. To participate in this trade, you must turn in at least one drabble that fulfills one of your recipient's requests. You can write as many other drabbles and fics of any length as you want (please do!), for either your recipient or another requester. If you are writing for another requester, though, please label your comment (bonus), so we have an easier time when it comes to guessing who wrote what.
3. The deadline is 12AM Sunday GMT (which comes out to 7PM Saturday EST). To find out what time this is in your time zone, check this GMT converter. You must turn in at least one requested drabble for your recipient by this time.
4. The drabbles & ficlets you turn in must be anonymous. If you forget to post anonymously, just delete the comment and post again. You can choose to reveal yourself later, in which case you'll be credited for what you've written, but (right now) it's not a requirement.
5. Feel free to turn in drabbles or ficlets after the deadline; they'll be linked in a post for the next round.
For the second round of drabble-trade, and all the rounds afterwards, people who do not turn in at least one anonymous drabble for their recipient before the deadline will be banned from requesting and participating in the next round.
Starting with the fouth round, there will be a week in between the end of one round and the start of signups for the next round. This recovery week will hopefully keep 100 words from becoming too overwhelming.
6. Certain rounds will be designated as having a theme (eg. AU, crossover, etc) as determined by the mods. All drabble requests should be catered towards the theme, and the official 100 word drabbles must incorporate the theme.
