Welcome to

drabble123, a themed writing challenge community similar to all those other themed writing challenge communities. The

drabble123 difference is that not only do you claim a character/pairing/fandom, you claim a word count: you'll be writing twenty stories of either one hundred, two hundred or three hundred words.

HOW TO PLAY

1. Choose a prompt table here. There are eight tables of twenty prompts each. Though most of the prompt tables are themed, you don't necessarily have to write to those themes. For example, you could use the Angst table to write twenty happy stories, or the Law and Order table for twenty fics that had nothing to do with crime - how you interpret the prompts is totally up to you!

2. Join the community so you can be given posting access, then make a claim here. You can claim a character, pairing (threesomes are also allowed, if that's your thing) or general fandom, and original characters (whether within your own world or an established fandom) are welcome. RPF and RPS are also fine, as are crossovers. There's no time limits or deadlines and there's no waitlisting: more than one person can claim the same thing, but no individual can have any more than three active claims at the same time.

Please use the following format to claim:

Fandom:
Claim and type of claim: For example: Don Eppes, Character or Tom Hobbes/Mel Waters, Pairing or simply General Series. If the character or pairing you're claiming is original, please note that.
Word Count: This can be 100, 200 or 300 words. However, whatever length you choose you MUST stick to for ALL twenty stories of your claim. You may not mix and match within the same claim, i.e. if you decide on 100 words then all twenty drabbles must be 100 words exactly.
Table: Please list the name and number of the table.
Link to your table: Copy and paste the code for the table into your own journal, then put a link here.

3. Once your claim has been accepted and you've been given posting access, you can start posting your stories.

The subject line should be: Fandom, Character/Pairing, Table, Prompt #

Characters/Pairing: Their actual names, not a smooshed together version.
Table:
Prompt:
Rating: Please use the G, PG, PG-13, R, NC-17 system.
Warnings: Please warn for anything like character death or non-con.
Word Count:
Summary: This is optional, but it's always appreciated by readers.

Please don't put any more than four stories in one post and use a separate header for each.

Stories can be linked or posted directly to the community. If they're posted here, please be sure to use a lj-cut.

For the time being, the mod will be tagging all posts so you don't have to worry about that.

And again, yes, ALL your stories must be of the EXACT word count you signed up for. That's why it's called a challenge!
