miss_louie @ 01:07 pm: Little Kelly Ann Doll wrap up at Dr Sketchy's Melbourne

Pin up pocket rocket and dancing sensation, Little Kelly Ann Doll, set hearts a’ fire and left sketch pads smokin at last Wednesday’s session.  Kelly Ann treated lucky art monkeys to a burlesque performance mid session and was every bit as, ‘hot, fast and down right dirty” that we had hoped for!

Many thanks to Kelly Ann Doll for an wonderful session and all the lovely art monkeys -
we’ll see you this July for our 2nd birthday session!!

saintentreri @ 01:46 pm: I am the right honorable Justin Lussier, one of the official photographers down here at the ever lovin' home office; Doctor Sketchy's NYC!

I recently entered a photo contest here in our beloved city, and part of it is based on viewer ratings of your work. I inquired of our dear founder Molly Crabapple if it would be ok to use some of my past Sketchy's work in the display if I happened to win, as I believe one of the best goals an artist can have is the enabling of others in their field. The answer was resounding and positive, she suggested I make this announcement here, and we come to now! In this post I'm going to include some examples of my previous work done for Sketchy's, part of the pool from which I will choose images to be used if/when I win. Others can be found on the Doctor Sketchy's blog at http://www.drsketchy.com/blog/

If any of you guys out there have enjoyed my work on the blog in the past, or you like what you see here, feel free to head here - http://www.artistwanted.org/SaintEntreri to drop a vote in.

Here's some samples from one of my favorite sessions, our totalitarian session.

Bigger behind the cut )

More from our recent session themed after the webcomic Backstage, also by our delectable founders and found on www.act-i-vate.com, can be found here - http://community.livejournal.com/act_i_vate/439418.html

Remember, Doctor Sketchy is watching you! Support the movement, and spread the word!

Stay Sketchy,

Justin

“Miss Kelly Ann Doll is undeniably Australia’s pinup pocket rocket. Her style has been described as “hot, fast and down right dirty”, “foot work that it needs to be seen to be believed” and “aerials that will make your head spin, she has no fear” - Mx Magazine

Champion swing dancer, actress & burlesque performer, Kelly Ann Doll has most recently been seen performing in Dolls, Doves & a Diva at the Melbourne Comedy Festival staring along side Katie Underwood, Cath Jamison & Erin Walsh. A feature of the Australian Burlesque scene performing at Australia’s biggest burlesque tours, The Absinth Club, Good Drugs Bad Women, & the Burlesque Ball.

Take part in our next session on Wednesday 25th June 8pm with Australia’s pin up pocket rocket, Miss Kelly Ann Doll!

jj_maccrimmon @ 09:19 am: LJ Advisory Board
As you may have noticed, Live Journal is taking nominations for a user advisory board. It could be useful or it could be completely lame. At this point the only way to know is to try to be elected to the position. If nominated and subsequently elected, I will work to keep the new owners of LJ and Six Apart from ruining the community that LJ has become. I'll also try to suggest ways to improve the friending system, improvements in which moderators can manage their communities better, and improvements to the (horrid) LJ Gallery system. Most people who have seen me actively involved or managing very communities will agree that I've been a mellow and very responsible moderator or member.

This is where I ask for your support. It only takes 100 votes to nominate a candidate. Fortunately this campaign only lasts for a month or so.

LiveJournal Advisory Board Elections

I support [info]jj_maccrimmon to be my representative on the Advisory Board.

Chris "Australia's Weapon of Mass Destruction" Knight, otherwise known as Mama Lou's arch nemesis Evil Chris, followed "the trail of dirt" all the way to our Dr Sketchy's session, tracking our heroine Mama Lou with the intent to fight her to the death!

A clash of the titans ensued and our art monkeys sketched, cheered and boo'd all the way through to Mama Lou's triumphant victory!

Thank You to Mama Lou and Chris for making this a very memorable session and our art monkeys patience in pulling this very special event together!!
