Here's Pixel's message on his Desktop page:

"WIP shooting game v.0.8.0.0

The archive doesn't include a manual. Here's the basic "readme" info:

* Game is not complete yet
* Five stages in all
* Controls are the arrow keys and Ctrl
* Supports gamepads

Play records are stored in the automatically-created folder "play-records". I'm interested in seeing how players develop from their very first play until they get used to the game. If you could compress and email me all your records (without deleting any), I'd much appreciate it."

Pixel provides his email address as rochet at nifty.com. (Just as a reminder, he doesn't speak much English, so I'd recommend keeping any emails short and simple.)

The play-records function is really slick. You just drag any of the files in the folder onto a running copy of the game, and your previous game plays out. It’s awesome to know that Pixel is interested in gathering videos from players. There’s a lot of information there that he can use to further improve the game.

It’s just too bad that anyone who goes through my records will know that, for a while, I was stupid enough to avoid ALL weapon pickups like the plague… I thought they were giant enemies during several of my early runs.

Anyone find any hidden things in the game? I got Ikachan to appear really early in the first stage once… but I’m not sure what I did. I guess I should go through my play-record log…

Yeah, it looks like if you get both the machine gun and the twin laser, which appear at the same time in the first stage, Ikachan appears. I hope there are more hidden bonuses like this--I love finding these in shmups.

I think that's one of the pieces of info he wants to know so he can improve the game

This game was awesome, if a little short! (demo I guess)

SPOILERS:

- Anchor is an awesome weapon
- The faster you pick up a powerup after deactivating its shield, the more points you get (100!)
- okay that's all I wanted to say

OK, so i got to level 3 now at least. Why i Pixel so awesome with game design and secrets and stuff?

MINOR SPOILER:



Keep shooting the bosses after they die and you get a shield. Makes everything much easier.

Not to mention... It runs without any major usage on my old Athlon 1000MHz-equipped side computer. Let's see how it runs on my main's Sempron...

Stage 4 is so disorienting. o_o

However, this is quite a cool game, considering it's a demo.
