Community Profile

Think of the hundreds of breed and types of dogs out in the world, mutts and purebreds alike. From greyhounds to akitas, each breed has it's own rich history and personality. This community is for the artists and organizers of the "Dogs Portfolio", a collection of anthropomorphic images of man's best friend in all their forms. This portfolio will debut at Anthrocon 2006! SO artists, the due date for your art is June 9th.

I am sorry, but this portfolio is invite only. You must receive an official invite from me, from the email address listed here to get in. I also can not accept any more applications for now. The artist list is growing far too fast, and I haven't even heard back from everyone that I've invited yet. If I want to keep this at all managable, I have to cut off the flow of applications.

Artist's guidlines and faq:
~ For now, each artist can only submit one piece unless there are some drop-outs at some point.

~ Try to complete your image to it's fullest, and to the fullest extent of your skill.

~ Each piece must be compatable with an 8 1/2" X 11" print. Which means you can make it any size you want, so long as the dimensions fit on a standard letter size print when the prints are made. Remember, that doesn't mean you have to make it exactly 8 1/2" X 11", just scale-wise it has to fit.

~ There is no preferable medium for you to use. You can use anything, any mix of things that you are comfortable with.

~ Every artist must send a high resolution file to me when they are finished with their piece. For digital media artists, that means working on a little larger scale (as I'm sure you guys already do) and for real media artists, scan at a higher resolution (around 200 dpi).

~ All images must be pg-13, which means no naughty bits for those who wish to go along the lines of erotic, and no blood or gore.

~ The main figure must be a dog (duh) anthropomorphic or non-morphic works fine, no preference.

~ and no pressure! There's a ton of time to work on these, so take your sweet time, plan it out if you need to, procrastinate and have fun with it. =)
